I can actually confirm that in Italy there are a lot of rules about replicas. You can't make, you can't wear, you can't sell, you can't buy,... but it's also true that the police, finance guard or carabinieri don't control every person and they like to catch "big fishes", surely not an occasional buyer or a tourist (they can do, but they don't).
