Update:

Hey guys, Received the prototype crystal. It looks excellent as far as quality. The single sided AR is very nice. No time to take pics and I'm off to New Orleans in a few Hours. Once I get back I'll take caliper measurements and lots of pictures and try to fit it on my watch once I'm back home in Madrid.

I hope it's a perfect fit!!!!!!

How many gaskets are included ?

Also if you ever get one, make sure you don't try to polish the top, the whole pin is made of nickel-plated brass and you'll most definitely expose it by polishing the concentric brushed finish at the top. It happened to me, first time I tried this on my LaBomba. Live and learn...

The genuine Pam ones are polished, rep ones are circular-brushed and there's not much you can do about it unless you'd be willing to re-plate it again.

Just thinking about many versions of sub I have collected and still pursuing a better one.

Super rep actually save me some money and hassle.

If you want a 2893 mvt, it's hard to beat a Hamilton. One intersting advantage for me on a 2836 moded GMT is that the GMT hand moves smoothly instead of hourly jumps(only when adjusted with the crown). The reason it is advantageous for me is that India time is 11h30min ahead.

Interesting, my timewalker GMT hand jumps hourly, and it's supposed to be a 2836 modified.

Or maybe it's a new movement based on 2836.

My understanding is bazel screw is different from clasp screw.

See the attached picture of a gen crown.

The gen crown sits closer to the bezel, while tw crown is closer to the case back.

That's why the gap is so obvious in tw sub.

Thank you for pointing out this flaw, which you can find in tw, cn, or "perfect" sub.

With this in mind, I can easily spot a rep.

For starters, they're not mine. Some showoff on timezone posted the pic.

One thing I liked to see was the Pre-F sub. There is a little space between the edge of the case and the edge of the bezel on the side where the CGs are. On the post-F subs it seems that the bezel comes right up to the edge and you can't see any space between the bottom of the crown and edge of the bezel. My TW Classic has this space, and I thought it was a flaw... until I noticed this pic.

I checked a pre-f Sub from my friend, there is no gap as you pointed out. I also checked the picture of your TW sub from another post. It seems that the gap is due to tube hole not being centered. Tube hole is closer to the case back.

So it's either POLEX also has QC issue or it's really a TW sub

My seagull 2892 gains 1 second since I sync it with a quartz stop watch 3 days ago !

In my collection, this sky/moon is the only one I didn't and will never wear.

Too easy. It's a Wojeckski. I can tell by the thin ridge on the edges. My favorite for the price. I've got mine on today. I'll snap a pic later.

Sach's pic looks pretty dang close to this pic of the gen to me (dial wise anyhow). Being the picky bastard that I am, I just gotta wonder if there's a rep out there with a slightly bigger cross under the 12.

Logo shape is a well-known flaw for this model !
