  1. As DRIZZNAY stated, you have variables to consider.

My opinion is that IF you have a sapphire crystal, triploc crown and a Swiss ETA movement, you can expect many years of service IF you look after your investment.

By that I mean to keep crown screwed down tight, check "O"ring on case tube, check case back for tightness AND have it looked at by a watchmaker in around 4-5 years. Oiling is a quick job on most "simple complication" watches and needs to be done. All seals should be replaced at the time of oiling.

let us know what you have coming, but in any event, ENJOY it :)

  2. Hey TXJB how do you like your sub? Have you had any problems?

This may be really stupid question but, How do I remove the links to get a proper fit? Do I go to a jeweler?

I really like the Sub. It is a very good replica and have had no problem at all.

As for the bracelet sizing, all you need is a set of jewelers screwdrivers (Lowes, Home Depot, Radio Shack) for about $6.00.

Simply remove the screw in the side of the bracelet, remove a link and reattach. If it is close to fitting "as is", you can take a toothpick and make small adjustments on the flip-lock clasp by pushing the springbar in on each side.

I have a large wrist and have always had to add a link over what comes from the factory, even on the real Rolex.

Suggest you put a tiny drop of locktite or similar on the screw to keep it from backing out!

    Enjoy your Sub.

  3. I ordered a Sub on April 10th from PT.

It arrived here in Texas 5 days later!

I think everyone gets his products in 4-6 days.

    Congrats on the LV Sub.

My friend has a replica sub and I know he has been to 30ft deep diving with no problems at all.

Keep a close eye on the "O" ring on the case tube. If it starts deteriorating, have it replaced. Done by any watchmaker for very little cost.

A little silicone lubricant on the "O"ring will ensure a good seal and long life!

  4. Hello to everyone.

I have purchased a replica, 16610 Sub, from PT and am amazed at the quality. Accuracy is honestly as good as the genuine SeaDweller on my wrist.

As an amatuer watchmaker, it is clear that servicing the replicas with ETA movements will be quite easy. I think every part is available here in the US from numerous sources.

I want to buy a "vintage" Sub replica, but read that the best are about $350. Is that true? Is it because of the case, or is it in the movement that causes such a price jump?

Anyway, I love this site and will be a regular here :)

  5. I ordered a S/S 16610 Sub from PT on 5/10/06.

It arrived to Texas on the 15th ........... that is quick!

The watch is really nice, all markings correct. The etching was as good as I've seen on any rep.

As for accuracy, it is running at +3sec a day for now.

    Super smooth transaction, good communication.

    Recommended dealer in my opinion.

    Ordering another rep today :3a:
