  1. Puretime is one of the best dealers you can find for reps.

However, they are offering many products from different makers.

In other words, there are quite good 3717, but also some lesser ones.

After all, it also depends on your budget.

Maybe first check the IWC section here at the forum, then ask Puretime

    for his best offer.

  2. 2. I have now seen and held three Noob 326s, and all three have an issue where hand for the minute chrono counter (3:00 subdial) wobbles when you tilt the watch back and forth. Basically, if you hold the watch with the CG pointing down at the ground, this hand moves about a tick forward. When you hold the watch with the opposite side pointed at the ground, the hand moves back about a tick.

Maybe I´m a lucky guy, no wobbling of the minute chrono counter here. Made that "test" you described several times now, all is fine...

  3. The 10 (and more) days "awaiting customs clearance" thing happened to me in February.

As I´ve seen in some fora discussions, I was not the only one...

The next order actually was again very fast.

Oh, and btw, sometimes, my orders also include 2 or 3 pieces. Never had any issue using

the triangle shipment option via UK.

The only problem case I recently read about was when a non-TD actually shipped the goods hidden

in a toy. The customs people tend to check "stuffed" toys even if it´s a shipment inside Europe... :g:

  4. With PayPal, "gift" is an absolute NO-GO indeed for buying goods. There seem to be some "private sellers" asking for that, I´d never buy anything this way.

I´m using PayPal since quite a few years for various offers, never had any issue. In fact, I like the easy process.

The only other option I ever used was Moneybookers, but this is a bit like Western Union imho. No "safety" like PayPal. Oh, and of course, credit cards.

  5. Excellent point on the Breits. The original Chrono Avenger back in 2004 or so was world class out of the box. And the Skyland and Chronomat Evo were awesome as well.

Superocean Heritage 46mm, I bought the gen at a nice price... the rep was near perfect. That was back in 2009, if I remember correctly.

There was a great review on this on RG, coming to that very conclusion, too... but as the site is down atm, cannot check back there...

  6. A Lange & Söhne rep is virtually the only rep I would never ever buy or wear. I´m too much

a watch fan, the fantasy designs never attracted me, nor cheap rep quality.

And, Lange watches are quite unique by many meanings, they simply cannot be repped.

It is impossible, unless they buy a real one, dissect it, and do what they make with much

simpler watches. If anybody would try a 1:1 rep, it would cost a fortune.

There are real gold (and other precious metal) reps out there, but usually not the ones

    with complications.

Go to a Lange TD and try one on, or just have a look. You´ll see and feel what I mean.

Maybe in many years, if I decide to spend $50´000 for a single watch instead for a car,

it will be a Grande Lange 1. I don´t like anything below 42mm anymore.
