  1. Good day,

I just received a new watch with an A7750-28k movement. It loses averagely 5-7 min/day when not worn and 3-5 min/day when worn? Should I complain or is this realistically okay?

    Thanks!

    TFDM

That's outside normal limits. How long have you owned it. I've had a few "slow" ones get better after a few weeks, but this is pretty slow.

Should be no worse than 10-15 seconds a day.

    You can always adjust it.

  2. It's not worth it. Honestly. If I could go back in time to 1929 to prevent my father from leaving Aschaffenburg I would.

There is no better life here. I dwell in a shack and receive a government monthly stipend of just $1,200. I have toast for breakfast and a frozen chicken pie for dinner. Our Social Security system is a kind of euthanasia on the installment plan for our sick and elderly.

Social Security was never intended to be the only source of income when one retires.

  3. Anybody know where to find replacement parts for the A7750. I specifically need teh screw that retains the Chronogrpah Lever. It is CS# 55.041.01 in the Gen ETA diagram.

Or does anybody have a A7750 they are using as a donor for parts?

Finally, is it possible to just order the ETA part from a Jeweler?

    Thanks

  4. Well... It doesn't seem like the lighting, as if you look at it from the side opposite to the crown, the curvature of the bezel is virtually the same as the curvature of the case, and the finish is the same satinized finish... there is a clear shade difference between the case and bezel.

Can anyone confirm that this is the same in the gen?

Here's a link to the Gen:

I think your Rep has the proper finish, it looks great. That watch is next on my list to buy.

  5. TBH - I am no expert in that area, but I have never seen one on here. My best advice would be to contact one of the trusted dealers on this site and ask them if they can source such a model. That way at least you know you are not going to get stung or pay way over the odds, but ask a couple at least so that you get a closer idea of spec and prices etc. It may be a good idea to have in your own mind a clear idea of what type of movement you want so that you can furnish the same query to the dealers and I am sure that they will help.

I've never heard of the second site, and don't know enough about the first to be able to give you my experience.

I saw some at idolreplicas.com but cannot vouch if it is a reputable site.
