Joshua ETA, though I did clean up the pearl with an exacto knife. Also did a light polish to the case and band with metal polish (just enough to get the oxidation off but leave the brush marks) case/band color is much closer to the gen now.

He withheld the sellers name, so I give him credit for that. He also has a good point, just because we are buying a rep doesn't mean we should really expect a lower level of service. I love chicago style pizza but price is about 8x more then little ceasers, doesnt mean im happy when little ceasers screws up my pizza. That being said, im sure if it was one of the dealers here it will be rectified. Sh|t happens, its how your dealers resolves the issue is what really counts at the end of the day.

Ok, not looking to get flame (but go ahead if you want). Could and how much would it cost to PVD a sub. Personally think it would make a great one off, novelty item. And i wouldn't have to worry about scratching my rolie when working on the car

The case is nice. Do you feel the date wheel is a better trade-off for the Fonts for Rolex (Im a novice but shouldnt the O be wider) and Oyster Perpetual Date being off (sorry, the font just jumps out at me.) I'm really looking at getting one of these premodded subs (either the pt or joshua) vs. a mbw (although again the bold m and date mag bug me). I'm actually very happy with the standard lv i got from joshua (good fonts/datemag/datewheel is white and sharp) just need a new bezel pearl.

Breitling, Most people know of them... but VERY few realize that they make a rep, especially one as believable as what is available. Just looking at how complicated the dial is most people wouldnt believe it was a rep if you told them (unless your chrono slipped to one, but that can be easily fixed hehe). Many Rolex Daytona's have issues, and are already assumed to be fakes.

Problem with the rolex sub is that 99% of the population has never really held one or examined one in the first place. Upon inspection the gen sub would not appear all that great to many (hollow links, ect.) If you handed a gen rolex to the same people that say your rep is fake they would still say the gen is fake. The real test is if they can tell you why/how its a rep. My daily wear/beater watch is a gen omega smp, and my wife has held it a few times, i handed her the rolex at the ad... and she thought it was junk. She did say my rep lv felt and looked like the same "junk" as the store... not sure if thats good or bad, but to each his own. If you get something like the breitling, zenith, or even IWC (even though its extremely expensive 99.9% of the populations doesnt know that) you'll rarely if ever get questioned if its real. Rolex most people assume its fake unless they believe you would and could actually buy one.

I need to read the post on taking watch photos before i post anymore, but this is the lv I got from joshua. I'll take more comparison shots after I get some better pics.

I kept looking at it and expecting the individual posts to come out the other end, in order to remove a complete link. Didnt realize the links where all individial little pieces. The only things ive notice is the the bracelet is alot stiffer then gen, and occasionally kinks when off. Also the latch is VERY tight, might have to get a the file out and trim a hair off so can get the bracelet off easier. Other then that and not reseting to 12:00 everything is perfect. Beautiful watch, this is my first rep (and a Sub LV) and all I can say is they are superb (and if they can make reps this nice why have I been spending 25x more on gens.)

I'm trying to compare the pictures with the LV I just got from joshua, and i need a magnifying glass to even determine which pic mine looks closer to, those defects are magnified so much they are not visible by naked eye without a very good light and very close examination. I'll try to take some macro pics of the joshua lv and post them up... They are at least as nice. Unfortunatly though I really want the pearl replaced. The one i have seams overfilled opposed to underfilled as the rep here. Overall though, i would not be able to spot it as a fake without a very close observation, it will be virtually impossible (without a jewelers loop, or removing the case back) with just a couple of mods. SX.

Ok just got my serie speciale and for the life of me i cant adjust the bracelet. Anyone shed some light, or are the bolts just screwed on mine. Was hoping to get some advice before destroying the band. Thanks. Edit: Nevermind, emailed joshua and he got back with me in 10 minutes. For any future Breitling newbies you have to remove 2 screws on the same link, pull the single link off then the single link off the opposite end. Watch out you'll be dropping 3 little links when you pull it out.

The LV engraving is not black (looked at the gen in person yesterday), but it is engraved very deep and thin making it look black.
