Another masterpiece.
-
Amazing duo. Great job on both and the straps really completes it.

I want them all!!! But can't afford it ... sadly I can only dream for now ...
-
oh mama ... common don't tease us like this ... more pics plsss

dluddy, thanks definately icing. This ones done.
PeteM, thnx again. if you are referring to the minute and seconds hands being blurry, I took the pic with little light. It took over 30 seconds to snap that pic that's why you see movement in the hands. So it comes out blurry.

I picked up this gen A series crown guard from BigCrown a few days ago. All beatup and had been brushed to mimic Pre-V crown guard.
I didn't waste any time and went straight to work.
And within 20 minutes of sanding and polishing ...
Another 01B project complete

I bought mine on ebay (wholesaleoutlet990) and they were expensive for two tiny screws. Keep in mind that there are different sizes for these screws.

Thanks for the pics frogfalls. Nice looking 24 you got there
Knowing that there wasn't any reps of these coramids reassures me. Perhaps mine was just more heavily used causing the wear around the checkered area.

Wish I had a spare. I know how long you've been looking for one. Hopefully DSN will have something next month and it'll be Christmas for you once again. Good luck.

Thanks guys. Humidors / vintage boxes seem to be a good choice. I'll look for a bigger box. Will check out the bay as well. thnx.
Lanikai - that's exactly what I need. Mind telling me who's the maker?

Thnx BlackBard. Would love to see pics of your custom box.
I really like something like this:
But want a cheaper alternative. This one is $200+.

I have one but not with me. I now think I am wrong but when I bought mine a number of years ago it only came with one keeper and I had assumed that was correct given that a number of the A straps came with only one. Then again I may have simply lost it. They are stunning straps but a complete pain in the neck to put on properly. Getting that keeper above and below the "stub" is a royal pain. Here is one on a 63C for you. Completely incorrect from a purist perspective but I love it.
Thanks guys for the confirmation.
Kruzer, mine did come with only one keeper. I added a second one to keep the other end of the strap snug. And I know what you mean....they are comfy to wear but man...getting it on is another story. I think I've come up with a system though. It only took 2 minutes to get it on this morning (down from 5 mins before ) Thanks for the pics. Looks pretty cool on your 063

So recently I've got myself a butt-load of straps.
They don't fit in the little box I use to keep them in any more.
Was thinking of getting one of these to keep them in.
Where you guys keep your straps? Need some ideas.

I picked up a black coramid strap for the 24 from Paneristi. Only problem is I'm thinking it might not be gen.
The thing that stands out are the checkered areas. Normally the checkered area is nicely defined and uniform (at least from the pics I've seen). At some angles it is nicely detailed but at others it looks smudged.
The one I have seems to be a little beat up. Any help in verifying is appreciated.
Back side:
Despite this, I'm really liking the strap. It is very comfy to wear and I think suits the 24 very well.
And a recent pic I took of the 24 with some of the other frankens
