Congrats on beautiful piece. I too like the contrast of the dial and case. Goes really well. It took a couple of weeks for a package to arrive from Davidsen? Mine usually come in 3 days. That's one thing I really like about ordering from Davidsen.

Thnx for the article takashi. When I first came into the PAM scene, my view of Asian 6497 movements were that they were FAR inferior to the Swiss. After sepending time on the boards, my view has since changed. I was very surprise to learn that a few of the swiss 6497 movements were actually made in China (and possibly contain chinese parts) :-) I have seen some beautiful (and very reliable) Asian movements in some really amazing reps. Hopefully someday, we'd see the Asian be on par with the Swiss (for much lower cost). That would be the day :-)

Looks to be a fun project. Are you searching for a vintage radiomir (3646) with big plexi, weded lugs, etc. or one of the modern ones sapphire, etc. ?

It's all cool if you can pull it off regardless of how big the watch is. It all depends on how proportional it is to your body. What would probably look rediculous is a 36mm on his wrist :-D

I think it suits him just fine. I've seen much worse.

Since this is to be your only PAM do you prefer 44mm or 47mm. But in either case, go all out on the head (with full mod) and add the gunny. And btw, good luck in owning just one, this is almost impossible to do. Just get both :-D

I've dealt with DSN. He wouldn't try to swindle you.

Does JOA really build 127s? Or is it the sterile version...which isn't really a 127. I've also read DSN 127s are the best out of the box.
