  1. Ditto! Fortunately we know that will never happen...
  2. Awesome admin! Can't wait to see it.
  3. I believe all of the asian ones have the older 21,600 bph movement. There are some out there that have the swiss movements though.
  4. Wow, very cool. If you need some contacts to find hands, I posted a couple of links in the links section of the board for watch hand manufacturers. They may have what you need. I also have another contact who works for a factory where I bought hands before. If you can send her a picture, she may be able to find them for you. PM me if you are interested in that contact.
  5. Thanks for the warning TTK!
  6. Don't know how you do it Zig. You are the man!
  7. Can't wait to see that!
  8. All of the rep navatimers have the seconds in the right place. That is the great thing about them. They use a copy movement of the gen article.
  9. How about this? Using a watch as a compass
  10. Thanks for pointing this out Bres. I have removed the post and will get in touch with EL on this. Thanks, TB
  11. All reps basically are made in China. Usually when they are referring to a swiss rep, they are referring to the movement used inside. Those generally have movements made by the swiss company ETA which are higher quality movements than what you will find in 'asian reps' or asian copy movements.
  12. I have not seen any pre-2000 daytonas that beat accuracy of the new Breitlings (except for vinage ones.) For some reason, they have not made a decent pre-2000 daytona.
  13. Great to know! Thanks DT.
  14. Uh oh, call the fire department and get that watch down!
  15. Wait a minute for it to completely load. http://www.newportharbor.us/computerworks.htm
  16. The movement in the Breitling is a close copy to the original movement used in the Breitling. The Daytona's movement is a hack and not even close to a copy of the original movement. Because of this, the Daytona is going to have more problems. It has serious power reserve issues due to all of the extra gearing they hacked in there. Now, if you can find a franken Zenith as slayer mentioned, that is the best. But, prepare to spend a ton of scratch. Not worth in IMO. Well over $1000.
  17. Also, you can use slickdick's technique and use a straw to press it down. Nanug taught me that one. Or, if you want to do it right... HOW TO remove and replace hands and dial
  18. Welcome JL! Glad you made it to the new pad.
  19. Oops.
  20. What is happening to Rolex? It used to be such a great brand. They need to take off their skirt this year and get rid of the ice. :yucky: None of the classic sport models (sub, gmt, sd, exp) are changing. The good news is that the are now a 100% in-house manufacturer. Here are some of their new models releasing this year:
  21. Yes, you need 22mm.
  22. Great comparison shot. I like TTKs better too. The details all around look better to me. The font, datewheel, Omega emblem, dial, etc.
