Thank you, revered watch deity of our times!
However, would it be possible for them print the numbers of the datewheel ever more slightly towards the edge of the DW itself to achieve aesthetical accuracy to the ETA7753?
-
:-) Thanks, yeah the factory has been informed of the 200/0 issue and with the A7753 the date wheel won't be as deep (although I kinda like the depth tbh, they will have an almost perfect rep then bar the lume ).
thanks for the heads up! am seriously considering this and the new A7753 PAMs. think i better hold on till they've corrected this one!

Just saw the 188H is on Josh's site. Is this a new release or did I just miss it?
http://www.1-pc8838.com/0000pn18801-188h-daylight-chrono-ssle-white-asian-7753-p-9173.html
I think it was released with the 250/236

You reckon they'll sell just the dial? I need that dial for my 7753 250.
If some one just wants the movt for a teardown, we can share the cost...hehehe
Siesta, if the old school 196 dial fits on the A7753 I might just share the coat with u! I'm in sg too btw

Not necessarily...as the HBB's usually have a tricompax layout. If it was a standard 6-9-12 configuration...no problems aside from the hand sizing.
On the HBBs however, transfering the tricompax mod from a modded a7750 to a Swiss 7750 is not something I've seen done too often and I'm not sure that it's a straight plug-and-play mod. As Zig has said, the only true 7750 is the 6-9-12 configuration.
Is this because of the tricompax layout modification...or am I way off on this??? You have more experience on this by MILES AND MILES than I do!!
there's a thread on RG, it has been done by Domenico. Check it out, very detailed with pics...

Had a client walk in with a gen all black HBB today. The chrono hand did this crazy jumping movement, the bezel was rubbery and it was easily 46mm. Maybe the hottest watch I've ever held. Last week he was wearing a B&R Phantom. His collection is sick. He won't tell me what he does for a living.
that would be the King Power all black...

ohaiyo~~
Welcome and i'm sure you'd be very comfy here as well!

Welcome USSR!! Like yourself I just joined not too long ago.
Am from the Little Red Dot too, and yes I have the 196 also, but it's all banged up. Have been in the rep scene since my uni days, and before yahoo auctions closed down.
CF, is your 196 with a 7753? the DW looks sweet sia~~~
I missed the GTG too, I think I better accumulate more rep-cred before I join the GTG... Enjoy the forum!

rxus my advice is to send it for servicing asap. i had the same thing, watch not winding after a fall and i ended up handwinding the watch. not a wise choice. after a while the watch stopped completely. i cracked open the movement and yes the gears were worn out. other other reason was responsible for the watch not winding but i guess i'm not the expert. the movement is now dead and in pieces.

28,000 reps?? Holy crap we would now see Youtube videos of police officers driving their Lamborghini Gallardo patrol cars AND wearing rep Hublots and Rollies...
-
Guess those pics shut the naysayers up. Do you accept apprentices The Zigmeister? I'm like situated in Southeast Asia if you don't mind....

I belive some of the stems had MIGLIA spelled AILGIM, truely a mirror image! Lume is ok, not great on the mine. Chronos work but I don't use them at all.
Good luck finding a good one!
I would not expect any rep from the dealers here to be superlumed (pls correct me if i'm wrong) but yes, the mirror image on the crown is mainly my grouse, and is what i was referring to in my post.

Thinking about getting a Chopard GT XL.
Are these worth getting, if so which would be the best out of the box.
Thanks
Hi there, I'm thinking of getting one too, either the 2007 Chrono, Grey Dial
http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=75878
Or the 2008 Chrono Black
for the black one, I would be waiting till February for a dealer to correct some flaws, whereas the 2007 grey dial one you can pretty much get them from the usual dealers.
-
Oh in case anyone thinks that way, I'm not working for Paul.
-
I looked around the dealers' site, and decided Paul's was better for the price and in my opinion the clasp looks sharper. The only problem with Paul's version, as many of us know, is the mirror image "Miglia" on the crown, which is DEAD wrong. I emailed him about it and according to him, he has noted the problem and would probably have correct crowns after Chinese New Year. Told me to check back with him after the 2nd of Feb.
Keeping my fingers crossed...

would getting a spare sandwich dial to use as a template help? as opposed to applying the lume freehand? Just a thought. Great work!

Welcome, if my mind serves me correctly you have quite a few RWG members in your land
Thanks for the welcome FxrAndy!

Started getting interested in reps when I was in the Uni (can't afford the genuine ones). Been looking around for more information on reps, but RWG takes the cake! I consider myself fortunate to have found RWG man. I hail from the land of "No Chewing Gum" (you can google and see which country bans chewing gum).
Current arsenal: Asian 7750 rep PAM196
Next purchase: Chopard Mille Miglia GT XL (soon i hope)
Thanks to the more experienced guys here for the wealth of knowledge here!

I would buy the version with the bracelet and buy a good strap.
