  1. There are so many different movement variations that it would probably work best to identify a certain model you are looking at and narrow down the movement options based on that criteria.

    Ok..but what does this mean?

Omega has a Manual A Venus 75 chromo, which I have no idea what that means.

  2. Just got into this. Have one Rolex Rep. Looking at an Omega. Site is overwhelming with info and trying to find it.

What are the different movements? Which ones are better?

Omega has a Manual A Venus 75 chromo, which I have no idea what that means.

  3. Bend the clasp part on the right of you picture so it gets curved more and thus becomes shorter and will stick better on the other end

Scared but bent it as you stated....not much either and it worked.

Thank you so much. My girlfriend is beside herself today as I'm wearing it out to breakfast. She was really in the dumps when I couldn't wear it.

  4. It is currently Chinese New Year so all the dealers are on vacation. If you email PureTime after Feb 20 or so, I think you should get a good response from him but right now he is probably just on vacation.

    Cheers :D

Been emailing them since our Christmas. Beating a dead horse. Need to fix it myself.

  5. Not sure where to put this post. If in wrong area, please move.

Got Rolex for Christmas from girlfriend the clasp won't stay shut. Dealer (Puretime) is not answering emails so looking to fix myself.

Watch is a Rolex Day/Date II, yellow gold, with Super President Braclet, deployant clasp.

    Attaching picture of the clasp.

Anyone know whom I can contact to get this clasp?

Thanks in advance to any and all replies.

  6. I have just begun to appreciate a fine watch. Maybe what I think is "fine" is something to argue about or maybe not...LOL

I won a Citizen dive watch 20 years ago. At that time it was worth $650.00 (Canadian). Is it a good watch? I don't know. I like the look of it and it has run very well for me. Problem is, I've worn it!!!!!!!!!!! I mean "really WORN IT".

I've read about gold plating and being able to do it yourself. Also wondering if I could put a new crystal and bezel on it? If I did, it may look new again. I'm just wondering if it's really worth it or not.

Thanks in advance to any and all replies.

  7. Car mfg's make cars that can go 200 MPH because you can drive them that fast, "legally" you can only go 55.

You can not physically dive to 300 meters. Yes commercial divers can dive deeper but you are correct, they do not need a watch on, nor would they have one on.

Braile on a drive thru ATM I would assume it is because of production. They make all the machines for all places the same, cost savings.

So.....we go back to the original question. There is absolutely no reason to make a watch or advertize one that is water resistant to 300 meters.

Thanks for the replies though folks. Enjoyed reading them.

P.S. Why do they call apartments, "apart"ments? They are not apart, they are all stuck together! LOL

  8. Can someone please tell me what any watch maker is thinking when they make and advertise a watch that is water resistant to 300 meters? I am a DiveMaster and there is no way anyone is ever going to dive that deep. Just seems like such an oxymoron thing to do, make something that will never be tested at what they say it can do. Nor is there any logical reason to make a watch like this.

    Just curious.

  9. Thanks folks. I have a really weird question. I've been looking at dealers and watches etc ever since I signed up here...LOL I'm bug eyed. Anyone have a suggestion as to a nice watch I might look at. I know it's individual taste. I'm 50 years old, want an elegant watch, no dive watch etc. I've been looking at the Rolex reps, and some others, but I'm not sure. So many to see and too little asprin for my eyes. LOL

    Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

  10. No don't keep us posted, if sino wants to try for a position on this board let them contact our Admin.

This is the second thread being pushed by pieter931 for sino and he has earned himself a 30 day break, if anymore of these free adds start popping up other people are going to start getting cooling off periods too.

    Ken

Sorry but I don't understand this post. I'm new here, but noticed Sinowatches were on the dealers list. Atleast I found them thru here. Maybe I'm screwed up as I've been reading for hours on end here the past couple of days.

  11. Ok, found reviews about how great or bad a dealer is but.....how do you get intouch with them? Is there somewhere that lists websites or something? Been on here for a couple of hours now and I'm not getting anywhere.

  12. Hi folks;

Sort of an older man here from Canada. Not much to say, retired and playing poker for "almost" a living. Reason I joined up here, is I need to know somethings about Replica's. It's a ploy at the table to be sitting there, with nice outfit on, jewelery and a ROLEX!. Plays mind games with the people you're playing with. "If he has a Rolex, he must be good". So I look forward to getting as much info as to where to buy etc. Thanks
