  1. From now only dealers have arranged group buys, and all the time it's one watch. The power of a member group buy is that everyone can pick the piece he or she wants. A dealer would love to sell 10> a time.

Let me give a short example how I can see it work:

In the sub area a group buy (topic) can he created. From here you can go 2 ways.

    1. Each sub group has it's own mod.

    2. The topic starter is leading. This means:

    - the topic starter set's time line (in topic head, max. 30 days or ... members). For example: ''Hublot 01-31 may / 20 mem.''. This means the topic will go 31 days or stop after 20 members have joined.

    - the topic starter asks at least 2 quotations, preferred are 3.

    - the topic starter does only post the % discount after all quotations are received

    - members can decide if the % discount is fair

-- members pay direct to the chosen dealer, so topic starter / mod can not steal from other members

Guys please join we need votes for this one. But it can also safe some good money.

  2. Hi All,

We have a beautiful community here. We also purchase 500> even 1000> watched per month together? We all know that a group buy is purchasing power, and purchasing power is discount. I would like to here from you (the members) what you think of a ''Group Buy Area''.

    For Example:

Main: Group Buy's -> Subs: AP/Hublot/Rolex/etc... -> For Example: AP -> ''Group buy May''.

Off course this need some rules, like:

    - at least 10-15 members

    - time connected

    - discount in %

    - multiple quotes are done only with trusted dealers

    - members pay straight to the dealer

    - etc. etc.

    Thank you.

  3. Yesterday I was thinking exact the opposite way. All the money that I spend on reps, if I would have saved all that money I could have bought myself a nice gen Rolex sub or PAM or other watch I like. But, then I have 1 watch in stead of 8-12. Yesterday I read this post:

    http://www.horomundi.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5716

You may find this hard to believe, but so far TWICE an Hublot Dealer has sent a fake Big Bang into our service center in Florida for repair.

The fakes are good enough to fool a dealer who has a real one to compare to.

And I realised, I have a HBB rep myself. It

  4. Same thing happened to my YM. I just fixed it. Here's what I did:

    1. Open the back using any of the instruments often featured here in this forum. Remove the crown. Lots of instructions here on how to do that.

    2. Mine has an ETA, so I had to take out the two screws and clamp. Be careful, those screws are really, really small and on my mine, one of the screws actually fell into the watch. :o More on how I got it out later. If you have an Asian, I heard they just fall off.

    3. Once the screws are off, turn the watch upside down and the movement should just fall off nicely on your palm.

    4. Other members here recommends nail polish but since I didn't have any, I took a very, very small mixture of epoxy (the ones with 5 minute setting) and using only the TIP OF A NEEDLE, I applied a very, very small amount of glue to the middle of the marker.

    5. Use a tweezer and carefully place the marker back on the dial. Make sure the position is correct.

    6. Some members recommend covering the movement in an upside down wine glass for 24 hours to let the glue properly set, but I only waited one hour.

    7. After one hour, I shook the watch gently, rotating it in my palm every few shakes and....voila the screw fell out. Make sure you have a bowl or plate underneath the watch to catch the screw when it falls into the bowl. Try not to let it fall on the floor or carpet. They're really, really small and you'll have a real hard time finding it if it goes on the floor or carpet.

    8. Put the movement back onto the case. Make sure the position is correct.

    9. Screw the clamps back on and put the crown back in. Don't push it hard or you'll be in a world of hurt if it broke. Gently rotate and insert. It'll go in.

    10. Replace the case back and you are DONE!! :)

I'm a newbie and this was not a hard task to do.

Thank you very much for this info.

  5. Interesting. I just posted this same thread over on RepGeek. But don't bother looking for the thread on RG. It lasted less than two minutes before it was removed by admin. Unbelievable.

Not that strange, that forum is created and lead by a few of the dealers. I guess Jandrew.

How trusty is that. I'll stay with Angus, best sofar ^_^ (EL rocked to :D).

But as said, It's good for the prices! As long as there here. And members who are served good by Jandrew, keep purchasing! It wouldn't be fair to stop buying from them

  6. If that picture was posted in a gen forum, I wonder why they would even bother with a watch whose flaws are well known, let alone a "blinged out" watch like that.

Granted, many people are not diamond experts (myself included), but how CZ and genuine diamonds are portrayed are significantly different. Including price, the genuine bezel (diamonds) would run a couple thousand. And I'm sure that the manufacturer had taken the time and effort to place diamonds of similar color and clarity to add to the "uniformity" of the watch. CZ's; not so much uniformity.

But then again, some people "just don't know" and I guess either he was a wealthy fool, or someone looking to get a thrill fooling others.

I can't afford the real deal but really love the watch. And yes, 99 out of 100 people don't know the flaws :D
