i think the rep po is awesome.....if only they could have done better on the markers being straight, mine has same issue, but not as bad as that one thankfully/....but the weight, the feel, the depth of rehaut, all really top notch qualitywise on the swiss 42 mm rep other then that crooked indice issue.

I'll tell ya a funny story, back on the old board I received a PM titled 'The best advice from the best poster'........yeah give me a break already.........Anyway its this chick who wants to buy a Daytona for her husbands Birthday in 2 weeks.

Now she said that she would be more than happy to do her own research, but because she had only just stumbled across our site after wasting much time looking at scam sites she was afraid that she would be struggling to have it delivered in time.

Ok so Ken the white knight kicks in to action says "Give me a couple of hours and I'll get back to you" and does a flash in depth study of the model she wants and finally gets back to her and says its EL all the way for this one.

Well she's over the moon, I mean plumb full of gratitude and praise, so I say to her that you might want to hit the donate button at the bottom of the page and give 5 or 10 dollars towards the upkeep of the site and also after presenting it to her husband it would be nice if you or him could give us a review of the watch and she's like of course, of course it's the very least I can do.............so kenberg's got the warm fuzzies and everyone lives happily ever after..........well almost after she disappeared in to the sunset never to be heard of again I find she had been playing about 10 senior poster with the exact same line!

i have had 3 come thru my mitts....arktos, an 024 and a regatta.

the 024 and regatta were light, and cheesy, whilst the EL Arktos was heavy and solid, and smellt of genuineness thru its every pore.

what other pam subs are like the EL arktos and built like a tank? how bout that 187 i see some people wielding now?

I actually like the minty look. Unless the aged lume is done very well it just doesnt look right. Also if you have "aged" lume that actually glows...well thats just plain wrong IMHO.

i have regained my love for the mbw red sub, being that i have 8 watches out for lum, and little fixes here and there...its getting alot of wrist time with the temporarily shrunken watch arsenol:

i recently got trustys asian 45 mm and swiss 42mm both in black. the 45mm was about perfect on the dial to my eye....i had a couple slightly askew markers on the 42, but i have sent it to The Zigmeister to relume and will take care of that at same time. the 42mm swiss is a really heavy, nice looking and feeling piece...the pics are a true representation. the 45mm is alot lighter. the 42 mm sits higher above the wrist, the 45 is more streamlined....the 42 has a deeper "dish" or rehaut then the 45.....dont know how that compares to gen though.

on the bracelets the 42 mm swiss is much nicer...rounded, with the rounnded clasp and the PO text. the 45mm had a non rounded bracelet and clasp and is the same 20mm size as the 42, though the big po should have 22 mm bracelet. all in all they are both sweet pieces that are worth getting....my bro who got the 45 mm absolutely loves it...and i am really lovin my 42...just mailed it away yesterday though for some The Zigmeister love.

pam 063 with 2893 movements seem to be tuff to get, at least from the dealers recommeded on this site. Recently purchases an 029 from EL wth 2893. I know it has its flaws (crown, lum cyclopse and date font) but it is a damn fine looking watch and keeps great time.

i have this same EL watch....and really love it. its in route back to me after a The Zigmeister relume, should have in a day or two. the date font is better then the asian PAMs, but id welcome a date font/cyclops improvement for sure....would be close enough for me with that fix and the lum.

well, im glad it all got resolved. i got [censored] and said some stuff i probably shouldnt have....but the many PM's had not been returned, and his phone number had "message box full" everytime i tried to call. only today did i get his email address...never had it before.

bottom line though is i finally got a response...so i guess this is what it took to get it, getting [censored] and saying a bunch of crap. this is history for me now, and i wont talk about it again. i know many of you are friends of joe and have alot of respect for him and feel for him with his illness and all....and thats great. personally i really dont know the guy that well, and i, like pretty much everyone on earth doesnt like to feel taken advantage of, and i got to the point where this is how i felt. once there my top blew. my top.

but to those that say, "relax they are just hunks of metal, more important things in life"....well that is really a bunch of crap. u see, joe offers a service...he has a business.....when he neglects the business and offers no communication with his customers, he is being irresponsible with other peoples property. this is BS...and whether ill or healthy, communication, or getting somone else to do so, and return watches to those that request, is really basic stuff. joe has neglected his clients, and in business, there are always ramifications when you do this. my post would be one of those ramifications.

so if you do business here on the forum...or whether it be rwg or trc or ebay....you are accountable for your service. you are lauded when it is good, and reverse lauded when bad. this would be a reverse laud ;-)

im really saddened by this thread especially from such a nice guy it seemed, i apologize i havent gotten your stuff finished but for one your mbw was sent out to my movment guy which we both agreed on and it is back and the other ones were stuff like stripped out screws and stuff and a relume , i tried to put u up and get u out but we had to send out your mbw for the overhaul and we talked and then i fell off the face of the earth with problems and still dealing with them but getting much stronger and better and trying to make everyone happy is almost as hard as breathing , Bart i truly sry u r upset , it was not my intention at all, and from u i felt hurt because u have known me from here for a long while and know this is not my usual self , i really hope nothing ever happens to u like it has me but if it does u will see that your life and family will be your only concerns if u feel like u r going to die, certainly not watches, the only thing that i need to be compensated for is the overhaul and i will send u your one year warranty with that and i havent touched anything else, i will pay the shipping out of pocket to return your watches to u , please email me at my redbigjoe69@yahoo. come for details or call u have my numbers

as for anyone else that likes to feed fires i owe u no explanation , people that know me know im doing the best i can to get everyone straight and soon i will be back to my old self again show beautiful watches and talking watches with all my friends here, i have not ripped anyone off and or scammed anyone all i am guilty of is being sick and getting way behind on work i took in not knowing i was going to be like this, hope no one every suffers from what i have encountered but im sure some can relate, its just plain when u r suffering from health problems u just dont feel like talking or hanging out on a watch forum, and when i feel like doing something constructive it is to play catch up on patiently waiting friends/customers

joe finally responded to me....it really sucks it took making this type of post to finally get a response...as i do not enjoy it. he is going to send me my watches back, so all is well. so, it seems that joe is not a rip off guy....just a really crappy communicator. anyway.....i tried and tried and tried to handle this with direct contact to joe, but it seems the only way to get a response was when i reached my breaking point and angily made my posts. im happy he finally got back to me, but man all ya got to do is respond. if i offered this level of service to my clients, i would be out of business in a week.

i wouldnt want to be caught by chinese authorities.....look whats happening to jack bauer on 24 ;-) LOL

I think you may calm down a little bit. You know, this attitude never help solving problems, and it actually pisses off some members who may have helped you out.

i really wish someone else had made this post, BEFORE i sent the guy my watches. Fortunately, i can afford to buy new stuff....but the shady dealings are BS and must be made public, so that others dont fall into the big red ripoff trap. im not really asking for help, just warning others to stay away. i will "help myself" to find a resolution to my BRJ issue, but either he is a scammer or the worst businessman ever to be born. either way, the truth must be told. and as i look at the calendar, we are actually going on 4 1/2 months, not 3.

welll, im not really feeling very "nice" at this point. i dont like getting scammed, and this appears to be a classic case of it. you will hear more and more of this until he grows a sack and simply returns the many peoples merchandise he is holding hostage. frankly im amazed he gets cut as much slack as he does around here.

Sorry to hear about your delays. It sucks to have watches gone for a long time. Every time I send my gens away for service it takes FOREVER to get them back. I just sit there picturing them on the wrist of the service guys at happy hour. But they always make it back.

RBJ isn't going to scam anyone. He is very well know by a ton of members. I'm sure he will take care of you. I know he is very behind due to his health issues and has stated that he won't be spending much time on the boards while he catches up.

If I were you I would quickly start buying new watches to fill the gap.

Newsflash....keeping my watches for so long after about a dozen, "will be done next week" PM's.....well, that is already scamming me. the man is a con artist...plain and simple. and one with no class....as he badmouths the other repair guys on phone calls, yet as u read by my post, he is the one that has the issue.
