  1. Seconded. I also have 6.5 inch wrists and think the Ingy looks great.

As an aside, while some good guidelines above, there's no hard and fast rule. I think the shape of the case, as well as a the size of a person's forearms also make a difference aesthetically. If you have a small wrist but perhaps more muscular forearms, you might be able to get away with a larger watch.

  2. PLS note:

Vacheron Constantin Dial i am requesting is changed (misunderstanding between me & Kruzer/Warren)

from ref. 42042/423A - 8722 to ref. 47040/B01A - 9093 this is the bigger "jumbo" Overseas model!!

    @Ubi

i might ask... best opportunity will be when we will meet next time -

phoned him today but he is always very busy.

Out of memory i literally saw "tons" of dials - an entire folder with for ex. ROO dials but

i cant remember having seen any watch movt./ movt. parts around.

Might take some time when i will see him again (dunno at the moment how much time asking for price

and secondly ordering will take him) but i will ask - you can go PM and drop me a line

as a reminder on this. You can also be more precise then, what parts you are thinking of.

    Thanks George,

Would the proposed dial for the RO fit the case recently acquired via Paul's group buy special order with MBW? I was displeased with the 'silver' dial option offered there and still am looking for a true white.

    Kind Regard,

  3. Agreed that it wasn't the Russia that was expected. They played lethargically and out of sync. That being said, the Canadians exploited their holes exactly how they needed to and executed near flawlessly.

Finland will be a challenge for the US. I hope they don't sit back and allow the Fins so much time in their zone, or they will pay the price.

  4. To all,

The issue of 'MBK' of 'MBW' watches has been a confusing one for quite some time now, and it should be realized that what was once called a 'MBW' watch may no longer be the same as it is now. Quite honestly, I think if you want to buy a watch, you should use your eyes, and not a subjectively applied label.

Call it what you want, but Paul has always been clear that these watches were from Nah Piek at the MBK mall. His pictures were provided as soon as available and everyone had the option of not submitting payment after he posted final pictures. I do not feel there has been any misdirection at any point in time, and take issue with anyone who implies as such of Paul.

There is always the potential of me not liking the watch when I receive it I suppose, but for the price of 330, it is still as good if not better than what can be had for this model from our trusted dealers. Such uncertainties are part of the nature of this hobby.

    Cheers,

    -P-

PS: Master, if you have a source for a higher quality rep AP, I am sure there are many of us who would be interested in availability, price, and pictures. Money to be made for your contact if they are looking for it. I will say that you would have your work cut out for you to provide as good a service as Paul has here, however.

  6. I'm assuming you mean the 'buttons' on the underside of the bracelet that are used for the pin release stick? With mine, I just found a little bit of finesse by using the pin pusher in the buttons, and a pin removal tool in the side would get it to pop back out. Just need to get into into the right position.

  7. Paul et al,

Thought I would check in to see the status of this, as I shall be on vacation all next week.

Have you received, or when do you expect to receive the sample from the Factory? Once received, what are your planned next steps?

Earlier in this thread, you stated you felt it would not be any issue to have the watches ready and sent out by year's end. Do you still feel this is a likelihood?

    Kind Regards,

  8. Can anyone tell me thecurrent best out of the box ladies rep, I know nothing on the ladies side of the rep world.

I am after something very blingy, sparkly more dressy than day to day. Reliable and as accurate as can be got out of the box

Its for a present for me Mum for Crimbo.

    Budget wise upto around $400

    Thanks in advance

Look into the Chanel J12 w cz bezel, and the Ladies HBB King. Both have been well received by members. HBB is Quartz. Chanel you can get quartz or auto if I recall.

    Good luck.

  9. Watches should fit on your wrist relative to proportion. My $0.02, if the lugs are hanging off or the bracelet is hanging 90 degrees to the case to where the clasp is just touching the underside of your wrist, the piece is too big for you. A watch bracelet/strap should wrap your wrist.

I love the SO Heritage for this reason. It was a excellently executed piece that was a throw back in styling to the late 1950's while incorporating the size of today's watches. Can't wait for mine to arrive tomorrow!

    :drinks:

I love the SO Heritage, but fear its just too large for my 6.7" wrists. If they only repped the 38 mm, i might grab it. For watches in general, I think sizing is a question of aesthetics, and aside from the actual case size and lug width, size of the wearer's hands and size and shape of the forearms can make all the difference. While I respect individual taste (or lack thereof), there are certainly a lot of guys out there (and on here)wearing too much watch (IMO), particularly with the younger guys.

    Cheers,
