My Breitling and my Graham Swordfish does the trick
-
Awesome pics! Agreed, the HBB's are Super Reps and are so damn close!
-
Love that perforated (sp?) strap
-
I'm selling my HBB RG V1 if anyone is interested
-
Very nice! I am selling my RG HBB V1 like you have in the pictures.
-
Very nice! I am awaiting my very own GTXL LE just like yours any day now from a member on here!
-
Nice purchases! I love that white Hublot...the gf/wifey must have been very pleased.
-
I am also the same way. I tend to wear my Reps more than my Gen...but thats also because I dont want to put wear and tear on my Gen Its kinda like a winder queen...but I baby my watches Rep or Gen either way
-
Not that particular GMT model, however there are reps of very similiar models which are almost perfect in respect to the Gen
-
Would love to see one in the flesh!
-
This ia nice watch. My father has a gen on black rubber strap which he loves
-
You should try it, you might like it
it doesn't look upside down , deployants seem to work differently to buckles
I prefer not to be dug in the wrist
Maybe I will try it. In the meantime I will wear it as is
-
Would an AP Bands 18mm buckle fit on this rubber strap? Or would I have to swap to another AP bands strap? Thinking of ways that I can make this watch work for me
-
Looks great. Top tip I got from Mr ROO (PAM01) for the strap was to turn it around.
Swap the top with the bottom so that the long part is on the top. I removed the end links rather that the strap.
Much more comfortable and no longer digs in to my girly wrists. It would be a shame to let it go.
ST4
Hey ST,
Thanks! If I turn around the strap and have the longer part on the top, would the watch look like it is "upside down" from the way the strap would be positioned? It would look weird and awkward, no?
I pay attention to the slightest details LOL, and I think having the strap reversed would drive me crazy, more so than the clasp digging into the side of my wrist! LOL

nice work, Zack...
a sharp, value watch!...
this post is exactly why i bought this watch in the first place and then sold it as a "test drive" edition...geeez - the "ultimate" ROOs cost a ton...and sometimes, you just need to try one for size, feel, weight, etc before splurging...
bought two, sold one...kept one for fun wearing...i like it, yes!...but not enough at this stage to warrant an "ultimate" automatic...afterall, there arr still a few Breitlings i have my eye on?!...
R
Thanks Rob!
There is actually a ROO Rubberclad for sale on another board for $360!! I would of definitely pulled the trigger on that one also if this one worked out for me!
Right now I am wearing it on my right hand (instead of my left where I always wear my watches), since my right wrist is a bit bigger than my left haha
I wish there was a "tang" style buckle on these so that us smaller wrist guys can not worry about the AP clasp digging into the side of our wrists!

Hey everyone,
Haven't posted photo's here of watches since I last had my Graham Swordfish (which I recently sold to a great member).
Since I let go of my Graham, I was really on the hunt for my next watch to try out. I had my eyes on the AP ROO because I simply love the style of the watch, however I didn't want splurge right away on the top of the line ultimate one without seeing if I liked it first and tried it on.
Well one recently came up for sale here so I had to buy it and try it out for myself. Rob (HackR) was a pleasure talking to, and he is also a great guy! I would definitely deal with him again.
It is the Quartz model, however it's supposedly the same case size as the ultimate 7750 model.
All in all, this is a BEAUTIFUL watch and I believe the best bang for the buck AP out there if you love the style but can't justify spending $400+ for the ultimate. If you are not out to fool anyone with it, then it's a GREAT watch for the money.
Also, I believe that since my wrists are only 6-6.25" (I know, they are female size ), in my opinion it would look best on a 7"+ wrist, and in my pictures you can see why. The "AP" clasp is digging into the side of my wrist a bit since I have it on the last hole.
I LOVE this watch and would hold onto it (if my wrist was larger) but you will probably be seeing it in the sales section soon for sale, I would rather have someone else enjoy it than have it sit in my watchbox with no wrist time.
Enough of the talking, here are some wrist shots I just took and some pics from Rob (HackR) from who I bought it from:

All comments are welcome!
Thanks!

Hi all
I am new to this so please bare with me. i am coming around to the thought of buying my first rep and am pretty much settled on an swordfish. (i also like the c1 and most of the pams and APs).
I already own a couple of gens and i am willing to splash out for the higher end reps as opposed to the cheaper poorer quality ones. As mentioned i am pretty much settled on a PVD Graham Swordfish (i do like most of the other Grahams however) and i really like the large numbers version (see pic).
GEN
GEN
REP
I cannot find this version as a gen, has anybody come across one. Any advice/help would be much appreciated. Also if anyone is planning to sell any of the mentioned please let me know as i am more than willing to buy off of the board.
Sorry if its a bit long winded.
Thanks
Hey,
Welcome to the board! I am also on the lookout for very similiar watches that you are looking for. I am really set on getting a Concord C1 next or a Graham Swordfish SS with Black Dial and the Big 12-6 date font.
The Swordfish that you posted I believe is a fantasy model and don't think it comes in Gen just as pictured (anyone please correct me if I am wrong). I just personally have never come across it and I have done some homework on Grahams.

From what you've said, I'd go for the PVD Swordfish
I'm waiting for one to show up in the sale section

I have the wrists of a 4 year old and tried on a rep oversized chronofighter the other day. I was so impressed its now on my listThey are very good quality. The hand grenade pusher looks odd in pictures but in real they are awesome. Loved the chronopushersST4
I have yet to try on a Chronofigher! I tried on a Swordfish at the AD and it was really comfortable!
I'd personally go for the tech seal based on 2 things. First, the style suits my tastes better, but more importantly I remember reding that the concord has had some qc problems.I believe the C1 had some problems right when it came out, but I think now they are better quality. Plus some dealers do a QC before they ship so thats a bonus.
Grahams look like you're compensating...sorry... I think the C1 is a classier piece but the Grahams are nice enough in their own regard..can't get over the damn trigger though...yikesThe trigger type grenade crown guard is only on the Chronofigher, the Swordfish is more "normal", unless the "eyes" on the glass aren't your thing.
I personally like 1) Concord C1 2)Swordfish 3)Tech Seal...in that order.
# 1 and # 2 could be reversed though!

You can found many photos in my review. Go check the hyperlink under my signature!

Hey Rayond,
I saw your photo's, they are excellent!!
I am trying to see some more SS photo's!
Cheers,
Zack

The Swordfish is comfortable, and the PVD is extremely durable. I love my Swordfish, and couldn't give a monkeys that I can't tell the time for 70% of the day
Can you post up some photo's of your Swordfish?!

Alright guys, so I am down to these 3 watches as my next "BIG" purchase.
Which one would you get?? I love all 3, but could only purchase one at the moment.
I've heard that these 3 watches are some best out of the box ones that you can possibly get and are 99.999% spot on.
Here are some things to consider: My wrist is relatively small at 6.25", however I do like the bigger style watches.
Although I love the C1, I was told that I would probably be better off with a Graham since the C1 wears alot bigger. I did try the C1 at an AD and it did fit a little big but that watch was soo nice.
I did not try on a Chronofighter Tech Seal because they didn't have one in stock, but I did try on a PVD Swordfish, and that watch seemed to wear more comfortably.
Any suggestions on which one I should get?? Maybe some wrist shots of the above said watches would be very helpful in making my decision as I can only buy one of them right now.
Thanks!!

Someone should bid it up to the max and then just not pay for it. He will get stuck with a heft final value fee lol.
