  1. Do gen Pam 111m's have a certain crystal distortion when viewing / tilting the watch away from you at an extreme angle, say 140 degrees?

Viewing / tilting the watch towards me and looking at it at less extreme angles have no distortion.

It seems to look like the eye of a hurricane look? It looks as if the center is quite thick.

    Normal?

  2. Both my gen 2531.80 and 2594.52 have the omega symbol. The only watch that I know which I remember eeing the He on the escape valve is the Planet Ocean.

Thanks a lot for this. One quick question, though. Do the gen SMPs all have the He symbol on the helium valve? The ones that I have seen have, but there are so many variants. Most reps, even otherwise quite decent ones, seem to have the Omega symbol on the helium valve, exactly the same as on the crown. I do wonder if some gens do in fact have that - anyone know?

  3. Bought an awesome Pam 111 (head only) from Mastrmindalliance - the picture that he posted on his FS post, does not do the watch justice compared to seeing the watch in person. He sent the watch on June 12, and I had it on my hands June 22. It took approximately 10 days from Australia to Canada.

Transaction with Mastrmindalliance was smooth. Communication was always open, he responded within a reasonable time.

He packed the watch properly, and it arrived in excellent condition.

This hand wound mechanism is smooth as butter, the lume is excellent (never seen such a good lume from a rep for a long time), the latch mechanism on this PAM had a firm and precise feel.

The case is very polished, and the crown guard was brushed. I'm not well versed on the gen pams but this looks good.

Watch is also keeping quite well.

His FS post has the pictures of the watch here for your ref http://www.rwg.cc/topic/147638-111m-built-from-n-and-h-fact-best-parts/

  5. Yeah, I stopped collecting reps for a few years. I still had my account though :)

Zigmeister the same as The Zigmeister back in the The Replica Forum days?

Wow, one post a year roadcarver!

On the servicing front, the Zigmeister seems to end a suspicious number of his posts with 'eh?'.....

  6. Thanks all for the replies - this will help a lot. I bought a piece from manbushijie which was a Marina Militare which is a Panny homage, then the Panerai bug bit me. .I stopped collecting reps for several years and started collecting some gen peices (not Panerai). I can't however afford or justify a Panerai but love the look of it.
