  1. Hi.

I'm working on a ship in the North Sea and I see that a few of the divers have Seikos. The Captain has one thats atleast 10 years old and the bezel is so worn down that there is a lot more than just the paint that is gone, it looks like its gone through hell and is still running like a champ.

I personally would go for a Seiko as long as you're not looking for a rep that someone here can recommend.

  2. Um I'm not sure if you took offense to my post but rest assured it wasn't aimed at deriding you but more to clear the point with the other posters.

Oh, none taken whatsoever :) I understood that. It was the site I was referring too as the member to be given a chance. I felt like I gave some advice to atleast check out your site , ask you a simple question but the advice was just pushed aside because one or two guys bought something off bad ebay. Like there aren't any threads in the forum about people being burned on ebay before. :p

  4. Hi,

Although I can't really answer your questions, you might want to PM kenberg. I'm sure he'll give you an honest answer.

You can go in on accesories / Bergie's/ man-ology section and look at pictures of the Paul Smith wallets.

    Hope that might help.

  5. The Sea Dweller! But that's just because I can't stand the cyclops on any watch. You don't go around and see those things on people's glasses, so why should you on a watch?

Both are nice, you just need to pick the one you like best and save your money for the other one.

    Good luck deciding :)

  6. Sorry, I don't have answer for you, but I am very interested in this topic.

My son is allergic to nickle, which is found in most stainless steel watches. We are looking at titanium watches for him right now.

As far as tungsten goes, I think mostly its sold with the name tungsten and is an alloy with varying percentages of tungsten and therefore will contain nickle and other metals and is not hypoallergenic.

The ceramic watches I've seen mostly have stainless steel backs (titanium too), metal between the links and on the clasps. Rhodium plating is hypoallergenic.

Hope someone here has some answers, will be really interesting to find out about the reps...great topic...
