  1. Excellent review and pictures By Tor!!! it is certainly the best bang for the buck and very easily upgradable! (one pearl + -maybe- an ETA movm't) Wear it well my friend! Cheers Alex
  2. ...this is a true TOOL watch...that is, it was used as a tool...used as a hammer, as a crow bar, as an axe... The watch has only been mildly 'Nanuquisized'...
  3. Congratulations on the classiest and one of the most beautiful chronos out there! Great story...those must have been the most rewarding pints you ever had!
  4. :yucky: :yucky: Nightmare on Elm Street Rolex version Don't touch it...it sticks and the smell will last a lifetime (like genuine rolexes...) :yucky:
  5. You are wrong hk, read the thread again...Joe attempted to hijack it by bringing his feud with The Zigmeister into it...and I pointed that that was unnecessary.
  6. The pearl from Raymond Lee is more than acceptable and the insert itself of good quality...they are moderately priced at around $18...I think Ofrei's are around $34 :yucky:
  7. The movement is unpredictable (asian 7750) some guys had good results, others like me not so much...but the looks are incredible! Mine died 5 days after receiving it and is being serviced. I'm seriously considering buying a real ETA Valjoux 7750 and ditch the asian crapola away.... :yucky:
  8. Conspiracy theories are usually born from failure to explain all the facts of an specific event...This video exploits those holes left with little or insufficient explanation...(i.e. Pentagon, WTC 7 collapse, etc). I live in NYC, I spent Sept 11 and 12 until 7AM in ground zero as part of the medical response team, and the images of the remains of victims throughout the night still lingers...We are all still very emotional about this and anything that implies a cover-up or a plain mass assasination (collateral damage?) in order to forward a political, military and economical agenda triggers an unbearable response at the gut level... As Bill and WW pointed out, "For each of the 'inconsistencies' raised in the video, I could think of half a dozen completely reasonable answers that the narrator seems to have missed... "
  9. Wrong place to place the question...post it in General Discussion preferably with pictures or the link to the site. BTW, nothing is out of the ordinary for the GMT you are describing. The only thing out of the ordinary is the price. Check in the dealer section.

  16. Febus, you are blessed! you had intruders IN your house, you and your girlfriend are alive and got yourself a bonus...!!!!( buy yourself a nice watch and spend some of the windfall in toys for the kids in the pediatric ward in your nearest hospital...it's going to be Xmas soon... ... a Robin Hoodesque and moral move!!! ) I'm sincerely glad you and your gf are OK! Cheers Alex
  17. Lovely pieces nevertheless...! See By-Tor's review of the GMT master and you'll start liking it more and more... Alex
  18. INSANE :yucky: 4K for an Expl1? over 5K for a sub? I'll keep on giving uncle Rollie the finger with a new purchase right now!!!... Cheers Alex
  19. These are lovely pieces by the way ...high 90%'s in accuracy... Congratulations! The color on the first picture is without a doubt blue...(unless a weird light artifact)... The ExplII still has the wrong hour markers as the lume is encased in a stainless steel insert as opposed to the original in which the hour markers have a black surrounding (such an easy fit...and hardly noticeable), CG's are very good, the dial is beautiful (I had PT's version), and the bezel insert is spot on as the hours are centered on the bezel... BTW, Here's a pic of the gen expl2 just for reference... Alex
