    I certainly think dial and hands w/ vintage relume is cool. I love to be able to see that stuff in the dark.

    Also, Tribal, can you explain the flat top date wheel, I'd love to know more about that.

    Soon promise will add some pics about it! ;)

    @ alligoat: no,my friend,it's not a gen insert.This is a PMWF one (the font is thinner than gen) with Ofrei's luminous dot.

    @ tribal: hey Dirk,why do you know my watch so well? :winkiss:

    @ stephane : thanks a lot,my friend.Sure I will love it forever,may be more than the gens I have...Your Great White is in a wizard's hands... :D

    @ all : the crystal is an aftermarket,fantastic in my opinion,flat t39 from GS supplies (many thanks,Kathie!);the next step will be installing a good 93150 bracelet (gen,maybe... :whistling:) with the gen 585 endlinks supplied by Dirk.

    I did a little mod by myself,since the bezel rotation was too easy,simply deforming a little bit the ss bezel retaining ring. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

    Hello to everybody!

    I'm very proud to show to all the forum members my new beauty,the MBW 1665 GWSD modded by Tribal.

    Told him to do only a slight aging,as if a new watch was left in a safe for 30 years until today:in the following pics the stunning result.

    Many thanks to Chris,Patrick and Seri,the fabulous Eurotimez's team,for the unique kindness and the excellent service supplied;to Alligoat,Cats,Freddy,Stephane,Trioslescano and Ubi for the precious support and suggestions;and finally,of course,to Dirk aka Tribal,the Rolex vintage Guru,great guy indeed,for the piece of art done.

    I have an MBK 1665 GWSD,arrived yesterday from Eurotimez (excellent service supplied :) ).

    In the darkness you can see only the dials and the bezel pearl,the hourmarkers are completely "extinguished"(excuse for my bad english... :rolleyes: )

    I think on the DRSD probably it's the same.

  14. Where to find a flat t39 for my MBW 1665 GWSD

    My notes show a PA462-67A from G-S Supplies fits a 1665- T-39. Don't know if it's flat or domed.

    Don't know if a T-19 or T-21 would work- Sternkreuz has some dimensions that I found on Cousins website- XS 294-310 Round special Forms Plastic Topglass.

    Also might check Gary Clark over at Clark's and see if he could get you a flat T-39

    Gary answered he can't supply it.

    On Cousins the t39 results " Restricted / Unavailable".

    Now I'll try with gssupplies and let you know.
