Even if the seller had all the original paperwork, box, receipts etc, how can I verify that the watch they passing to me is the gen, that relates to all the paperwork? In other words where on the watch is the serial no. engraved, is it where the bracelet joins the case and does each Gen have its own unique serial number. thanks

Hi, Currently what is the lowest price in USD for a used Gen Submariner in good condition irrespective of the age? Thanks
-
thanks for clarifying that, that must be 'bargain' of the year out of curiosity how much could you have sold your original Rolex DJ for? and how much are your Black Sub and TT Sub valued if you had to buy or sell them? Your black sub is modern as it has no lug holes right? Cheers

Can you clarify: you swapped one Rolex watch for two Rolex watches. I assume your original watch was entirely Gen, how much did you pay for it originally? Or was your original watch a 'Franken, ie made up of gen parts? Good trade for you! Why is it buyer beware?

did you get your watch or did customs confiscate it?

Submariner WM9 v1 - which dealer sells at 'best' price ?
P_Diddy replied to P_Diddy's topic in The Rolex Area
I read on one of the rep forums that George aka Watchmaker9 does not make/modify watches but is solely a dealer. If this is the case, why is this factory dealing only exclusively with ONE dealer? Can someone confirm the veracity of my assumption please. Thanks for all 'sensible' comments.... P_Diddy -

Submariner WM9 v1 - which dealer sells at 'best' price ?
P_Diddy replied to P_Diddy's topic in The Rolex Area
Does anyone know which factory makes the WM9 rep and why its only available through a selected dealer i.e. Watchmaker9 ? Has production of WM9 v1 stopped? On side note whilst acknowledging the VERY high quality of reps from Watchmaker9, his prices are equally very HIGH as well. Thanks for your comments/views -
Does using a watch winder prolong the life of an automatic watch movement, i.e. by not needing to re-start the mechanics each time it runs out of power. a similar analogy would be driving your car continuosly on the motorway for a long journey is better than multiple start and stop short trips in the city. comments?

Review of the New 29j Daytona Movement
P_Diddy replied to Francisco's topic in Francisco's Reviews And Tutorials
Hi Francisco, great review especially with detail and meticulous care taken. I am thinking about getting a Vintage daytona rep, does this use the same problematic movement as the modern daytona rep? If the vintage daytona rep uses a different movement, then does that movement have a long life ? Thanks P_Diddy -
Review of Rolex 16610 Submariner "Noobmariner"
P_Diddy replied to By-Tor's topic in By-Tor's Watch Reviews
Hi Stephane, I am new to this and have not developed the 'eye' for spotting difference. Please can you point out the 'differences' in the photos below, they look similar to me at first glance. Thanks P_Diddy -
Hi, I read ByTor's review of Submariner WM9 v1 and liked it alot. The WM9 is more available than before, so who offers it at the 'best' price currently? Thanks P_Diddy

Beginmariner has just arrived, pics and impressions
P_Diddy replied to Pakz's topic in The Rolex Area
I have read the original review of Noobmariner by ByTor and would like to know the following: 1) Do all Noobmariners come from the same factory and does the quality of Noobmariner vary from dealer to dealer ? 2) Which dealer currently sells the 'best' looking Noobmariner? 3) Does the Noobmariner use an ETA or Asian clone of ETA or something entirely different? Thanks for your patience and for being so demanding. P_Diddy -
On a related issue to Dealers: Are TTK and EuroTimez the same dealers or persons? If not where is TTK's website? Who is EuroTimez known as? thanks for being patient P_Diddy

Which dealers have got the WM9, preferably in EU and accept Credit Card. Thanks
-
Is TTK the only dealer selling the 'original' Noobmariner? or is the Noobmariner available from other dealers? Thanks

Hi, The watchreplica.co.uk website is listed as a scammer on list six on another thread in this forum. Has anyone had any dealings with this UK dealer and are they scammers? On side note, their prices for Submariners are HIGH,

Review of Rolex 16610 Submariner "Noobmariner"
P_Diddy replied to By-Tor's topic in By-Tor's Watch Reviews
Can someone confirm that the "Rolex Submariner 16610 Black SS aka Noobmariner DG" selling for $110 from EuroTimez website is the "Noobmariner" referred to in this review? What is QC like with EuroTimez? who is Neil and what is his website? Thanks and apologies if I asked something again. -
Can someone give an update on this please? Krayfish/Bibbs - have you been able to help some other UK members on this forum, who may need their reps serviced but not able to send outside of UK for Customs reasons. Thanks P_Diddy

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum having had my appetite whetted by an impulse buy of Omega 42mm Ocean Planet. I already own several gen watches and with impending service/battery changes due, I am curious to learn more about the following: 1) Any recommended friendly watch repair service, preferably near London who can service rep watches for a 'reasonable price' 2) My interest in rep has grown considerably since joining this forum and I want to learn more about servicing and repairing rep automatics, would appreciate any useful constructive comments from the board. Look forward to exchanging thoughts with you.... Many Thanks P_Diddy
