Thanks so much everyone - it is indeed a 2836-2 I can see it engraved on the back as mentioned - now i feel a bit silly! Its stopped working so i plan to replace it with a an ETA or its clone - I assume its not worth trying to get a clone fixed??. I am searching the forum for a good guide but haven't found anything specific to the 2836 yet - meanwhile, if anyone can point me in the right direction, i would be grateful. cheers

Thanks. I notice from cousins website that the 2836-2 is for day AND date. Would mine not be the ETA 2824.2 (Or Asian clone of it) which just has the date?

Hi, Can anyone help identify this movement and does anyone know what to replace it with? I think it is an Asian movement - I purchased this from Eurotimez back in June 2009. It was one of the first Ceramic Subs they were doing (The Eurotimez description was "Rolex Submariner Caramic Bezel 2009 Oversize Case - Noobfactory"). It has recently stopped working and I would like to swap out the movement with either an Asian or Swiss equivalent from cousinsuk.com, but I need to know which part/model number to buy. Any help would be much appreciated..cheers
