  1. I got the Omega Seamaster (40mm?) last year from one of the reputable collectors who is well known here. He was awesome to work with and this is NOT a post to put him down. I get comments all the time about how nice it looks. It has been almost a year now and the watch will periodically stop working over night. Like yesterday, I wore it all day and took it off about 6:30 pm after work. It stopped working at 6:00 am this morning. I wound it a few times and it works fine. This has happened several times over the last few weeks.

Is there some maintenance required? Is there something I should look for on the inside of the watch? I am not very familiar with the movements and this was one of the least expensive replicas. Love the watch and would love it more if it was working properly. Thanks.

  2. The rubber dishwashing glove worked great, no need to resort to a hammer this time. As expected, I could not see anything obviously wrong. Interestingly though, it has worked ever since I put it back together. Now if it will just continue until my new one comes in! As for other watches, I have already found several others to put on my wish list and Christmas is coming soon. Thanks for the help guys

  3. A few years ago i bought a fairly cheap Rolex Rep in Mexico. It worked great until recently. Now the movement stops occasionally. If I shake the watch it will start back. I know nothing about watches but thought I would open it up to see if anything was obviously wrong. Besides buying a tool to open the case, is there another way? If so, more questions will certainly follow. (I have an Omega Rep on order, this is addicting)
