  1. so ...

1.) Enter a rep-forum, build up trust, do entry-level work (although not always ... .. . perfect) and aim at higher, more pricey, level work that will take some time (dw etc).

    2.) Steal money/watches (yes it's theft alright).

3.) Enter a gen forum, build up trust, tell them about the horrors of reps, build up more trust, offer services OR point people to other 'people' that sell 'gens' (given the comments).

4.) Ya'll see where I'm going with this right...

  2. A lot of people have missed my point, we have been told that the ceramic bezel has pushed the price of the HBB up $200 to the $1000 mark, well look at these....

Still too expensive for my liking but it seems to make a lie of the cartel price line.

    Ken

Of course! But like the introduction of the (asia) 2892 bastard cousin only known like that in a small part of two persons apartments, we have to decipher what that message meant. I've given it a try, but am not totally sure about what the entire message is so perhaps people could chip in.

Pushed means: we felt it was about time.

Ceramic bezel means: actually it is the means

HBB means: We has barrel and shotgun

200 means: random number that ppl probably will accept

1000 means: All your idealwatches are belong to us

  3. In defence of the system - not in defence of Andrew and/or Josh - I am obliged to point out ... a sale is a voluntary transaction between two parties.

I don't see anybody twisting anybody's arms to buy from Josh/Andrew. Those who, for their own reasons, believe buying a watch from them is a good thing for that buyer/person, will buy the watch. Those among us who believe it is not in our best interest to buy a certain watch from Josh/Andrew, will not.

We have choices. Hooray for RWG! We have choices.

Make you own choices. Why is everybody hammering at those dealers? You don't want to buy from them, don't buy.

I am obliged to bring forth that this thread is about supposed decency. Decency about removing stuff that supposedly reached a roof in pricing. Can we still suppose that? If no, then there are comments to why we can't do that.

  4. Research is a modern impulse, if not idea.

It's based on the scientific method where you observe what you see, and make determinations based on those observations.

The essence of the discussion actually; the essence of our era, a predominant world view, and what distinguishes it from the past ones.

Will write something about this when I have more time :)

  5. Simply because as soon as you accept the premise of Christianity, you either believe the lot or you don't. If you choose to disagree with the first council of Nicaea's hatchet job and prefer to follow an earlier version based on what's available, you're picking and choosing, but it's against God's will because Emperor Constantine I was acting as an instrument of God (even though he was a Sun worshipper, go figure) in striking out controversial passages.

The Nicene Creed was put forward by Constantine I to unify the Christians under one bible and did so as the first great picker and chooser.

    The Bible isn't a holy book, it's a heretic emperor's pet project.

I mean the whole point of the first council of Nicaea was to vote on whether or not Jesus was his own dad. A vote. Just think about it.

Of course it isn't a holy book per se, it contains other books. It is not really to be viewed as 'law book' either. That would be a pain in the ass, Moses supports divorce and Jesus revokes that 'law'. To achieve such a view on a book, filled with laws/rules, we'd have to have jizzy writing a book of rules, and calling it christianity. Returning to the bible, most of the books do not claim to be, or even contain, the word of god. Sharp contrast to the Quuran there. And nor did they before those changes. Or after as James's bible differs a bit doesn't it. So the premises become quite strange. Especially given the lack of fixation to the bible that eg. the Cath. church has in contrast to the Protestant one. Are the last ones more christian than the former ones? I mean, they still try to cling to the uniting factors that were given by ... a sun worshipper. Are the cats christian at all? I'm still trying to understand the premise here. One that I've heard is to accept Jesus as/was god. Are there more?

  6. I simply don't think you've thought this out. You're like the paedophile priests that say they believe in god but blatantly disobey His orders knowing a fiery pit of hell awaits if what they believe is true. You know you're not supposed to pick and choose the bits to believe, right?

What you're actually saying is that you believe in God and you're ignoring him because you simply believe you know better. Great.

    Oops. :D

Why not bits and pieces? Do these bits refer to the bible?

What he's saying would've made Nietzsche, and Kierkegaard, love him. Not in the sense that he's done away with god, which seems to be the argument, but that he revaluates values.

  7. Out of the 10 upgrades and 28 donations (taking mine out of the 29 count).....how many were from dealers (sorry...."collectors")?

Funnily, they should be propagating for people to upgrade. Think of the benefits!

    From that perspective:

*More people can view my collections here.

*People would know that they are buying themselves into something good.

*People could rid themselves of their watches to fund new ones.

    *More feedback.

    *...etc

*The forum would stay 'up'. This one is related to view my collections.

Then again, those points can be countered.

*Who cares, there are other forums.

*That money could've been spent on an extra strap or water proofing!

*People rid themselves of their watches to fund watches from other people that have rid themselves of them.

    *More feedback!!1one

    *...etc

*And an extra one, to propagate I'd need to post.

*The forum would stay 'up'. This one is related to feedback.

  8. The market principals behind cartels are no different than those behind a boycott. Both seek to force favourable market conditions for one or more parties So, IMHO, certain self-righteous users should step down from their horse. Lets get back to what this board is for. I remember when i first joined, I was given the following advice:

-It is easy to get screwed over when buying a rep.

-Read as much as you can.

    -Form your own opinions.

    -Pick your dealer.

    -Then pick your watch.

    -Enjoy.

...by the way[, we] should all be in contempt of each other. I mean we actually try to control a market here. We do! We only let a few chosen in. On certain grounds; we have rules for dealers. ...

I don't like horses. At all. They scare the [censored] out of me. The only thing with hoofs that's allowed close to me is my mother in law.

And I don't mind people buying from A/J.

-I do however want them to know that they can be f*cked over. Needless to say, they will also find out that things can turn out good if they buy from them.

-People read as much as they could. Or some perhaps didn't care to read. Because there was nothing to be found about a crappy movement represented as something else. And there was trust involved (this is my biggest concern). About a movement labeled as 2892 when it has about as much to do with that movement as, well, let's leave it at that. Technicians that most likely don't exist, or let's suppose they do, how are the dealers sure they perform their part?

-Indeed, form your own opinions, but they are formed from other people who have formed their opinions. Which in turn are formed by different schools, professions etc.

    -Pick your dealer.

    -Then pick your watch.

    -Enjoy.
