  1. Hey guys... I want to buy a Sec @ 9 7750 white face SS daytona... Who would you guys recommend I get one from? Cheers, Jeremiah
  2. Sup Puffy, the lume is fantastic and lasts for an hour, maybe an hour and a half, if you have it in the sunlight for just a few minutes, or under a bright light... The case on the blue sub is the 42mm (oversize case) which I love! It feels SOOOO heavy, in a way, almost tooooo heavy but I'm not going to complain :-P I'll take tot heavy over too light anyday. The blue is Swiss ETA (and I confirmed this after my friend, who is a jewler and sized the watch for me, opened it and checked - he also did pressure testing... both are +- 100 feet, which is all I really need) the green lv however is the asian 21J and I don't think its the hi-beat movement I believe its the 21.6 but it's still FANTASTIC... The build quality is everything to me and these didn't feel like "cheap knockoffs" by any means. These felt just fantastic. It's only been 24 hours but the time seems to be running perfectly... I think the asian might be adding about a minute a day or so but thats something I can fix with my jewler. Cheers, Jeremiah
  3. Hey there guys! As promised, here are some pictures of my first two rolex submariners... I bought these from a vendor that isn't listed on RWG or RWI but I was totally impressed with them... Out of respect for the administrators of this site, I will not disclose the vendor publicly since he is not a "recommended vendor." (He is not on the list of scam sites either though). If you really want to know where I purchased them from and you can't contain yourself, simply pm me and I will tell you. But in the meantime, check these suckers out... In my opinion, not one of these pictures does the watch any justice... I was speachless after I held these suckers! They feel perfectly built (heavy), and the color is just spectacular... Side note : I took both watches swimming today, and as promised by the vendor, they are all waterproofed up to 30m (which is very important to me). I have to thank everyone here at RWG and RWI for bearing with me over the past couple of weeks... Thanks to your patience and prompt replies I was able to get some very good quality watches at a great price. Thanks again to all you folks! I have a YM and a TT blue sub comming from Eurotimez, when those arrive I will definently share them too! :-)
  4. Marty, It's rumored on here, and other forums, that the noobfactory (place of assembly) submariners are the best quality for the price BAR NONE. for about 100 bucks you get a high-grade, well assembled, absolute beauty... In my book thats not to shabby... So I guess you could call it the style of a manufaturor, or there assembly style... Cheers, Jeremiah
  5. Hey guys! I have fallen in love with trustytime's website over the past couple of days and I'm thinking about getting a few "noobs" from him. Can anyone here in the community confirm that he does in fact sell real "noobfactory" stuff and how is his quality? Any feedback on Andrew and his submariners in particular would really help me make this purchase :-) I love this place!!! Were have you guys been for the last 10 years of my life?! :-P Jeremiah
  6. Thanks for the reply's guys... Well I guess the real question that we are trying to ask is how can we have these proofed without doing it ourselves... I'm a watch buyer not watch smith... Any help in this REGARD would be very helpful! I basically want to be able to pay someone to do what you just explained above... if it costs 100 or something I'll do that... Is there someone on this forum that will do that? Cheers, Jeremiah
  7. I did search, and what I found was conflicting with what I was being told by the watchsmith's... I'm turning to a thread to get some help, cause I can't find anything! Thanks, Jere
  8. Ok, forgive my ignorance, but I was told a few times on this forum that any "watchsmith" can waterproof a watch... And that this was done by "greasing the seal and the pin or something like that"... Now after your help in finding a watch smith, I went ahead and called up your referrals and 3 others of my own... Every single watchsmith told me that all we can do is "pressure test" the watch, and making a watch "waterproof" is not something we do.... They also said, whether a watch will be waterproof or not totally depends on the "build or assembly" of the watch.... Now this is completely contrary to what I've been told... I swim in every one of my watches, and always will... What am I missing here and why am I getting different information? Thanks, Jeremiah
  9. By the way, I just called the workshop and there out of town till the 7th... Looks like I'm waiting a while, lol.. Unless you got any others to recommend guys? Jere
  10. Hey guys, I just got 3 reps and I'm looking for a local watchsmith who can make these extra water tight (grease and seal them) so I can go swimming in these.... I also need a MVT swapped out... Anyone know a watchsmith in Houston that is capable of that, and won't charge me my arm and leg? Thanks! Jeremiah
  11. Thanks for that reply very helpful! But who is King and the other two people that you mentioned? How can I reach them? Also, Which dealer (websites) would you recommend for a DJ SS... Thanks, Jeremiah
  12. I know all about WM9's masterpieces! So the SS DJ's that are around 100-150 dollars are the real weight? What I'm looking for is a Datejust dealer that assembles them with the best case and crystal (BEST PARTS) besides WM9.... Anyone else besides Watcheden that you recommend? I guess the price of 100 bucks kind of scares me that its so cheap.. Must be like a mineral glass that scratches VERY easily... I want better parts... Is there someone like that out there besides blkm and wm9... Thanks, Jeremiah
  13. Hey guys, I have to start off by thanking you guys again, I mean, If I didn't come across this forum I probably would have been "taken" for another $1500 already. This forum has been nothing short of spectacular and I am just totally blown away by the plethora of information it contains! Thanks for your help on all my submariner questions, I finally bought 2 of them from Chris at Eurotimez and upon there arrival expect many pictures to be loaded up! (I want to contribute to this party!) Now that I've ordered the subs, I've always wanted a nice Datejust, but my biggest problem is finding one with the quality (weight) that I want... Who would you guys recommend for a quality DJ, or even a DD for that matter... Accuracy of the dial is not as important as high end stainless steel (good weight) and high end crystal... I've heard watcheden thrown around in a few discussions and I've heard timeshops but the last watch I bought from houseofsouviniors felt cheap to me, and that's not what I'm looking for. Any help in this matter would, as usual, be GREATLY appreciated! Cheers guys! Jeremiah (probably the newest guy to the forum lol)
