It looks like someone tried to play Tick-Tac-Toe on the back with a carving knife !

Rolex relevance ?
Where's the Toad when we need him ?

If the AD clerk can't tell the difference, what good is his or her opinion?
-
Obviously we already know that the guy in the AD DID NOT KNOW it was a rep. people in AD's often have no idea about the quality of reps. They're often just hired help. Now specialty and vintage shops are another story. Those guys have to be on point, because their business is buying and selling exclusive models working with new, used and
vintage models..
Yea... Most Do...So What?
-
It's not very uncool...the guy made a mistake...don't have a cow.
Plus those guys at the AD don't know reps and certainly would have a hard time telling a rep DSSD from a gen. They are really close unless they have them side by side and inspect it off his wrist.
Anyway...not a big deal. Just don't do it again if you can avoid it.
Your the only one having a cow. And yes, it was very uncool! How do you know he didn't have it off his wrist? Any AD worth his salt can tell the difference. We certainly can! They get bulletins all the time concerning replicas.
-
Very Uncool!
But, the AD must have been an idiot to miss everything we know is wrong on the V5.
-
The pearl is just a trick of light. It is dead center in real life! What is wrong with the sapphire?
Got a hold of a new "Ultimate" DSSD dial for it. Good thing I just bought handsetters and remover Hope my shaky hands can pull the switch.
Cool if the pearl is good...
The sapphire distortion problem has been well documented on the V5.
I have the orig. V3 and the crystal is much closer to the Gen.
-
The sapphire is not good...and the pearl looks off center...
-
My V3 will suffice untill they fix the 10 and perfect the date window. I looked at E-Bay's Gen.DSSD's and you can tell the diff. between the SS on my V3 and the Gen. and new rep., but since I love my V3, there is not enough reason to jump now IMOP.
Thanks, Lani for the great review though!

Looks like it has the slightly crooked printing on the dial !

Thanks Toad
No slight intended

Top10brand looks like a Watcheden or "Tony" site: same pricing, same descriptions, even the same pictures, or style of pictures. The other one wouldn't load for me.
The one thing about the trusted dealers is, they're already trusted. If your sites offered something unique, it might be worth it for you or someone else to check them out and report back. But we've already got one Watcheden.
Thanks Doc
Watcheden is the same. A little cheaper too.
-
Thanks
But,that's why you ask. Maybe someone does know somthing about them, or someone that has dealt with them.
Afterall , all trusted dealers had to start their repution somewhere.
Right?
-
Anybody done business with either of these sites?
Good or Bad ?
Thanks

Shultz,
Nice Job!
Who is selling the beveled date window dials and how much do they cost?
Thanks
-
do you have a link ?
i only see the best , the ultimate and the 2nd edition
My comment was concerning this question and then you not putting a link to Eurotimez.
If you will look closely at the bezel, the 10 is not centered on either, both are V3 bezels.

Looks like it doesn't say ORLEX on the lug and the 10 looks centered to me...
The only complaint I think I have read about PTSwiss was the bezel marking/numbers being slightly thin.
Maybe there is more to it though.
Not to bust balls, but Hotbody77 said he found this at Eurotimez not PT.
And yes, both have the 10 off-centered on the bezel
-
It's a V3
Off centered 10 on the bezel.
Non-beveled date window.
-
Outstanding !

Is the date window a perfect match to the Gen. ?
