  1. How about the Hamilton Ventura from Men in Black?
  2. Here is something more detailed. As Dippy said the gold screws are just plain wrong. Also the back is sapphire which is right, but the movement can easily be seen as incorrect. If you can live with these things, it's not too bad. However, if can deal with the smaller Royal Oak, this one is FAR more accurate: http://www.pc-80108.com/ap10025-royal-auto...242-p-1652.html
  3. The only thing I've seen that's "special" from WM9 is the new Submariner with the correct bezel assembly... and I've yet to see pics of it from someone who bought one.

    16700 vs. 16710

Ahh.. I must have been thinking about the 16750.. sorry. That's right, the older model was 1675 not 1670. Oh well.

    16700 vs. 16710

16700 is the transitional model.. a very cool one if you ask me. Check this out: http://doubleredseadweller.com/gmt_transition.htm

    16700 vs. 16710

Very nice, but personally I would have gone for the GMT I.. Better yet a 1670 Magnum P.I. type But congrats!!
  7. Maybe they thought they could find 50 people that actually like that and wanted to buy it.. good luck. If I want a G.I. Joe watch I'll go to Toys R Us.
  8. Does this world REALLY look like the product of INTELLIGENT Design? If the Earth is God's crowning achievement... what does that say about God? Al Gore discovered Global Warming shortly after creating the Internet.. He's my hero. Seriously, he's pretty great.
  9. Wow.. except for the first pic it doesn't even look like it has a crystal. Very nice and clean. I like it.
  10. That is fantastic looking. Congrats. Now let's see if you can stand owning a gen knowing there is no modding to do on it. You know you want to mod it.. you can feel it, but there's nothing to mod. One night you will be looking at it and thinking "maybe I can just file that a bit and it will look better...."
  11. I personally think it's because the reps have gotten so good lately. Have you seen the new Swan/Dagger E and H movements.. the better, thicker crowns on the PAM's? The SSD, the Steelfish, the Big Bang and the new Chopards? What else is there to nitpick about? We are extremists here and we must have something be wrong with the reps.. Don't think I'm throwing stones here, I'm exactly as I'm describing here. It's kind of like an obsessive compulsive disorder, filing crown guards until the sun rises and such. I just sent a payment for a really nice PAM, and I already have things I want to do to it. I had a gen Steelfish and one of the things that really bugged me was there was nothing to do to it to make it "perfect". It's not just a hobby.. It's a disorder.
  12. That is my dream car. I miss driving an Audi.
  13. That isn't the Racing Carrera.. I have one on my wrist now and the one with the red hands has very thin wire like circles around the 12 and 6 subdials. This is something different.

    Teddy Bear

To think this could happen in the 21st century is shameful. I honestly don't know how most of the major religions can continue to function in this age when we know so much about the history of the planet that directly contradicts them. And to allow a religion to control a government, and to take it to an extreme like this is unacceptable.
  15. I'm sure him asking if you bought it abroad and say it looks new was him fishing for a confession that you owe duty on it. Good thing you were wearing it and it wasn't packed in your bag. There's not much they can do if you are wearing it unless you volunteer the information. I wonder how many people just come out and say "Yeah! I just got it, pretty cool huh?" and the Customs guy replies with a smile, "Looks like you owe about $500 in duty on that imported watch.. pretty cool huh."
  16. On nearly all of the Swiss handwind PAMs the pin that sticks up that the hands go on is too short and easy to spot, even from a few feet away at the right angle. The fix is to install a longer pin that actually sits a hair higher than the hands where the original pin will be sunken. Do a search here and you will surely find pics of this. I think most of the asian movements have the pin correct, but are flawed in finish and decoration.. which would be ok for a closed back Panerai like a 001, but bad for a sapphire backed 111. Hope this helps.

There must be a hidden code in that cake. The phrase "Happy Birthday Rob" is CLEARLY an anagram of "Bad porphyry habit".. and as EVERYONE knows, porphyry is an igneous rock consisting of large-grained crystals, such as feldspar or quartz. So it's obvious the Freemasons plan to take over the world by creating a mass addiction to crushing and snorting these quartz laced rocks.... It's so clear to me now.
  18. Great pics. Thanks. It makes me want mine that much more.. Mine is stuck outbound in China. As far as the rehaut goes, I think it would look alot better if it was dulled up a bit. Right now it seems too shiny. I was thinking about all the mods I want to make and I was thinking about taking as brillo to the rehaut and then going over it with a Cape Cod. I did a similar mod to a Sub about a year ago and it took the polished look off the rehaut. But otherwise, I think it looks great!

    Maybe they outsourced the bakery...
  20. I got my Super Sea-Dweller tracking # from Angus a week ago today and it still looks like it's in China.. It bounced from one place to another and now it's at: "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" I've never seen that message, and this on the USPS side, so they transmitted details to USPS, but it looks like the package is having a hard time getting off the gound. I thought EMS was Express??
  21. I may not be a big fan of her, but I would take her over the train wreck that's in the White House now.. but then I think Bob Hope's dead brain in a jar would make a better president than GW.
  22. I have 2 Tag Carreras with A7750's that have the same issue, I just push the chrono reset every once in a while.
  23. Very fake.. TURN-O-GRAPH should be in all caps and even dates should be in red. Also the S/N should be engraved on the rehaut at 6.
  24. If what he says is true, then Ebay should let it go. But there is no way.. the first clue is the account is registered in Dominican Republic and the item is in Italy.. I find that hard to believe. It looks like he purposefully does not show the crown guards or the bracelet clasp (which I'm sure has a Rolex logo on it). This looks like the conical rehaut case which I don't think a genuine dial will fit in that. The whole thing looks bogus.
  25. I'm not a fan of pure dress watches, but I love that swan neck movement.
