  1. I really like these pictures, theres something aesthetically pleasing about them all being the same shape and fitting into each other :D

Id like to see a pic of them all front on though?

I'm surprised people buy the gold Hublots so much, doesn't the plating wear on them quickly?

The front pic where not that good! Until now there is no plating issue with these....until now...

  2. Hi,

EMS handed parcel over to DHL, which makes things even worse (in theory). Parcel went via Germany (bad news!) to Holland, but cleared customes with no issue (YES!)... at least on the tracking site...it is now in Amsterdam....and even if I press F5 (very 5 min.) ... no status change avaiable since yesterday..hmmm????

    We will see and wait!

  3. Hi, the deal is simple! My old account = Theflyingdutchman is dead since the upgrade. I cannot enter the forum using this account.....so I have got a new one as the Theflyingscotsman...and should newbies not introduce themselves?

Theflyingdutch is dead! Long live Theflyingscotsman!

  4. Good day,

I thought just a little eye Candy could be of interest (?). Sorry for the low(er) pic quality but I have had some camera issues. This is what it used to look like before I downsized and bought 2 watch boxes at timeshop24.de:

And then with watch boxes it does look nicer...I believe.

    Thanks for looking!

    Cheers!

  5. Good day replica friends from around the world!

My very first fake (replica) was a present from my mother as I was 15, so that was in 1986! She brought it back from a holiday in Mexico. It was a absolutely none immaculate piece of copper red-gold Rolex Day-Date! I think it lived with me in its red-gold status for 3-4 weeks and kept on wearing it in its metal-shine-through status for another 2 years, without getting a copper poising although I had a green wrist! I re-started collecting reps 5 years ago. First the low end fakes until I had about 60 of them

  6. Hi there!

I know, not everybody lives in Italia, but my wife and I visit this location once a year for summer shopping. This is a outlet store location for various high end brands....the real stuff!

    www.themall.it

Great place, which just hurts the CC a lot less then the regular shops. Here some prices from this years trip:

    1. Gucci gentlemen boots in crocodile, original price: 6500 Euro...at the Mall: 1200 Euro (did not buy these in the end)

    These we bought e.g.

    2. Gucci boots, original price: 1250 Euro...at the Mall: 125 Euro

    3. Gucci dress suit, original price: 2250 Euro...at the Mall: 155 Euro

    4. Gucci, slippers original price: 750 Euro...at the Mall: 95 Euro

    5. Yves Saint Laurent Winter jacket 5500 Euro...at the Mall: 255 Euro

    6. Valentino suit 2300 Euro...at the Mall: 150 Euro

    7. Fendi silk shirts:, original price: 650 Euro...at the Mall: 95 Euro

    8. Burberry hand bags where on special offer; any hand bag 155 Euro

And lots of little stuff like e.g. ties, towels...and a GUCCI dog water bowel for 35 Euros reduced from 210 Euro.

The original price tags are still on the clothing, so you know your bargin. Down side is that you frequently only have 1 of a size and the sales people are REALLY not friendly!

The restaurant is really good, maybe one of the best pizzas I have had in Italia!

Was also nice watch spotting...you name the brand...I most likely saw it there, if I was not just trying to slow my wife down in her shopping frenzy!

    Regards,

    TFDM

P.S. We took the plane to Amsterdam-Florence-Amsterdam (no we did not visit Panerai), rented a car and stayed over night in nice hotel. This cost altogether, without the speeding ticket I got; 550 Euros.

  7. Bad luck 'tfs'. I have not the computer background to help you with your predicament (other than, yes, all computers are of an evil that goes beyond design function) but can only suggest that tinkering with the lore of The Flying Dutchman has been your undoing. Hailing the ship or the mere sighting of said same is a portent of doom.

One such sighting was by Prince George of Wales in 1880. He was on a three-year voyage with his tutor Mssr.Dalton aboard the 4,000-tonne corvette Bacchante. Off Australia, between Melbourne and Sydney, Dalton records:

"At 4 a.m. the Flying Dutchman crossed our bows. A strange red light as of a phantom ship all aglow, in the midst of which light the masts, spars, and sails of a brig 200 yards distant stood out in strong relief as she came up on the port bow, where also the officer of the watch from the bridge clearly saw her, as did the quarterdeck midshipman, who was sent forward at once to the forecastle; but on arriving there was no vestige nor any sign whatever of any material ship was to be seen either near or right away to the horizon, the night being clear and the sea calm. Thirteen persons altogether saw her...At 10.45 a.m. the ordinary seaman who had this morning reported the Flying Dutchman fell from the foretopmast crosstrees on to the topgallant forecastle and was smashed to atoms."

In light of the fate of that ordinary seaman, I suppose a 'login error' would be 'getting off lightly'?

I shall miss your old screen name, me sailing the threads of RWG. I thought well of it, stirring the fascination in me from childhood of stories told me by my Grand Uncles who worked the fisheries out of Fraserburgh on the North Sea. And of my time crewing a long line boat off the coast of Florida working my way through university. All that time keeping my head in my work trying hard not to scan the horizon needlessly for fear of seeing that vessel.

For what it's worth, I prefer and can appreciate the more benign and colorful 'theflyingscotsman' and can only hope you do not 'sky dive' as a diversion. Be safe and good luck laddie.

So you are saying give up the Flyingdutchman and continue as the flyingscotsman

  8. Hi there!

I retrieved myself a new password for my old account, that worked....but once using it for a login, IE8 crashes! I tried this 3 times. after that I tried the same with my new account on the same PC = no issue! Changed password and here I am as the theflyingscotsman!

To me this means that there must be soemthing wrong with my old account? I cannot be the PC?

    Or what do you think?

theflyingscotsman formally known as the theflyingdutchman

  9. As I told you previously; I cannot find anything wrong with your account. You should be able to log in just fine with your e-mail; bonnys***@***.de and the assigned password.

Thanks for answering...but I as written, I cannot login. I have tried various PC's and with none it works....have you been able to login with the new password? Can I have an other one? Merci!
