I really like the submariner on a bracelet, but I guess my wrist is too small because I just can't find a comfortable compromise with the links.
So, I took the black strap that came with my Archimede Pilot watch and threw it on the sub. How do you think it looks? Sorry about he quick and dirty pics...
Thanks for the input,

I bought the cheaper asian 21j sub from Trusty recently, not the "best" one. I think that the "best" on is based on the one I bought though. Nevertheless, the dial had great lume and the hands had virtually none.
I just got a swiss sub from a forum member yesterday. It was originally from Josh. The lume on the hands is much better but the dial is a lot weaker.
Hope that helps. I think I might take some pics to compare the two and post them in the pictures section.

Thanks. I worked on the lever a bit more this morning, but I still have a little less than a mm to file off and I think it will be pretty flush.
I thnk it's turning out pretty well considering though.

I think I have a bit more work to do on the crown guard lever. It seems to stick out just a bit too much. Then again I think I have seen gens doing the same thing. What do you guys think?
Originally a case from River with a Jimmy Fu crown guard, Lello crown, new dial from forum member ajoesmith,
and hands from davidsen.

Yeah, I just got thru filing the lever a bit. I think I might have a bit more to do, but I'm a little wary about doing too much due to the same reason as you. Here are some pics of the semi-finished product...
(BTW, it's was originally a case from River with a Jimmy Fu crown guard, Lello crown, new dial from joeasmith,
and hands from davidsen)

I got up the nerve last night to mess around with my lello crown and a stem. I measured the stem screwed into the Lello crown and then measured the difference when it was screwed into the regular crown. It then snipped the stem and filed it down gently until it was the right length.
I fit into the case after some trial and error. The jimmy fu crown guard lever was a bit too snug so I filed it down a bit too. The crown doesn't function now as my other manual wind watches. You have to pull it out one step to wind (it won't move at all when pressed against the case) and then pull it out another step to set the time.
Overall, it looks great to me. A lot better than standard skinny crown that came with the case.

Where can I source some of the small screws that are used in holding the movement in place on the PAM reps? These are the screws that hold the clamp in place and screw into the movement itself.
I seem to have lost a few of them recently while messing with my watches.
Thanks,

Well, I picked up a link removal tool at a local jewerly tool supply store.
sssurfer was right...the pin came out easily pushed from the front side.
Thanks,

Thanks for all the tips guys. I tried several of the recommendations last night with no luck.
Guess I'll order a link remover soon and see if that works. At least if it doesn't I'll be able to size my own bracelets.

I'm having problems removing the pin of one of my CG's. I want to swap out it's lever with one from another CG. The older one popped out easily using a paper clip that was straigthened out a bit but this one won't budge.
Anyway, what do you guys recommend to remove the CG Lever Pin? Would a link removal tool work?
Thanks,
