  1. The very reason behind my post.. Besides.. $25 a month doesn't buy family,....It buys a link.
  2. Bad news Nanuq,..I feel for you. Do us a favor and take care of yourself...
  3. I'm impressed ! You seem to have every Category Right-On ! This post should be Pinned for reference also any following answers to your questions..
  4. Yeah they just got back & their box is over-loaded...
  5. I think he built silix-prime just for us to give us lower prices,.. the other site is probably for the outside world...
  6. If you are looking for lowest risk... seek a used one that has passed the test of time.. as they are great or bad, depending upon chance...or,.. get your watch serviced upon receipt. The Zigmeister is The Expert on these watches.. though I don't know if he's accepting them at present. These Navi's don't have the newest 7750 movement.. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=3845 {unless by this time there has been an update that The Zigmeister is unaware of,} 7750b1 is the same as the first version with only a better speed adjustment mech... as far as I have learned.. {if there are any other differences..please someone chime in.} 3-6-9 is more accurate to the current model gens, but the 6-9-12 model usually has a centered date wheel while the other is sitting low, that is the only issue regarding the choice there as far as I know. I might also add that if you don't have the funds to servicing and want to obtain a new one.. examine it closely upon receipt.. but be gentle..if anything is out of sync, send it back.. if it seems okay... still.. take extra care of it for the first three months... baby it.. make sure it's warm before operating it, and *don't subject it to a winder.. {*= My own personal opinion} Hope this helps....
  7. Of course I know you were not promoting Paul.. my reply was to RobertK.... and I appreciate your help ! As for my logic,.. it's quite simple,.. buying power.. same as a Group Buy,.. after all we are Group are we not ? Why should we pay the same price as outsiders wandering around the web ? If you were to bring in say 1000 people into any retail store at once, and request a discount .. what do you think the store owner would say ? Contrary to what Paul said about us being only only 2% of his business base... do you think he would be here if that were the case..? The fact is, any mega-dealer has access to just about any watch that comes available.... so why delute our power with another one ? Especially since the other dealers are giving us lower prices from start...? For Loyalty ? How about loyalty to our group, which our long time dealers are a part of..? Neil, EL, River, King, Jay, Josh, Andrew, Narikaa Both PT.s and the other small specialty dealers... have never burned us... never shunned us, as a group. I understand everyone is free to do as they wish... I just wish it were in a more beneficial manner to the majority. If however I am wrong.. then I will simply walk away from the ideas I have wishing we could all have discounts pay for our memberships.. and allow us higher accuracy, lost watch funds.. More watch prizes,.. and most of all less stress on our family budgets.. ... after all, I have what we all do..access to great replicas..and a great group of people here.. so I will still be happy... either way, just not quite as settled.. Oops,... sorry to take this tread off subject... Iwc GST.... One of each...
  8. Paul is a large volume dealer who is in competion with King and Jay.. both of whom I am working with to gain us permanent discounts...which will never be if we throw another mega-dealer into the mix.... We need to start thinking as a unit...
  9. I see Paul as taking business away from our family of dealers, who never burned or spurned us, as he once did. When I say US I don't mean every individual but us as a collective. I also feel that we will never gain the type of pricing and service which we deserve, if we spread our money out over too wide a circle...deluting our buying power to such a degree that we become just like every other person who has not found the way to our little oasis... Seems people don't realize the power we have here and don't know how beneficial it would be if we wielded it in unison.....
  10. Thanks for the help... I guess like most, I have my favorite dealers, as I have found that it helps when problems arise... I start with Jay's because his prices, If he doesn't carry what I need, King is my next stop.. she's so sweet.. then it's to EL for comedy relief and honest answers... However Jay has recently stopped taking pp.. then King ran out of stock.. as did EL.. River, I have never gone to... don't know why.. just end up with EL as their stock is always the same.. Josh and I have different ideas on customer/dealer relations.. so I won't go back there.. I do take an occasional watch from Trusty and recently from Neil,...but only the lower priced models.. as for the rest, they are mostly EU based.. and their prices can't compete with what I usually pay with the others..and besides I don't really want to start over and establish new relationships from ground zero, if you know what I mean. So I guess the only way I am going to obtain what I need is from another member...
  11. Jeeze... that's expensive...is this the normal price ?
  12. Scott,. Some dealers are calling the 7750b1 movement new.. which they may be, compared to the first generation,.. but they aren't the movt's that The Zigmeister reviewed, which he said he only found in the iwc's and the daytona's running seconds at 6... http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=3845 Hope this helps...
  13. Great ! Thanks much Edge,...and Perfect timing as well.... I have a sub in transit that I was going to put an eta into.... Appreciate it !
  14. I have been trying for six months to obtain two iwc gst's.. one white one black.. seems every dealer is only carrying the titanium models.. which to me are like dead stone... no reflections,..no sparkles.. no life... If anyone has a fully working a mint iwc gst in stainless.. I offer $200... Pleeeease....
  15. Having fragile bezel pearls has taught me long ago to always be aware of my watch... good thing too.. I haven't scarred my left hand in two years...
  16. Though I understand the board's needing steady support, seeing how so few people take the time to invest just a portion of the rwg savings of one watch, into our home,............... from a personal standpoint, knowing that there are three volume dealers, King, Silix, and Paul,.. but only two have stood by us all this time, the first two mentioned, plus our smaller speciality dealers.. are more than enough for me.
  17. My first three watches from the forums had QC problems,.. if I were to have used those as my gage of the whole industry, It would be like getting out of the airport in Hong Kong, bumping into a man who didn't excuse himself, having a misunderstanding with a taxi driver, then in frustration,. immediately returning into the airport to go home,...Telling my friends..."That Hong Kong is a Rude place.. Besides, the Chinese are not known for their hostitality." Fact is, I have a wonderful collection of beautiful timepieces... all from China.. as are most Swiss watches made in China.
  18. Fantastic News ! Daughters are a blessing for Dads...! Congrats !
  19. If Color is the main focus, then I prefer Black over Orange... With me basic designs, that have lasted the test of time, seem to be my most cherished.. However if it's,... PO vs Sub,... I seem to be going through this PO stage at present.. but who knows how long it will last,....? I do know that Sub is like an old friend, that always takes me back, no matter how long I have been gone...and she seems to always hold her shape..
  20. Considered by top watchmakers to be at the Pinnacle of watch mastering, the Tourbillon is no easy feat to build and regulate. To have Tourbillons come out in replicas is astounding..and a testament to the ability of our rep manufacturers to produce top quality complications for us to enjoy, and I would say, should change some of our prejudices about Asian movements. Here is a TZ article regarding Tourbis.. http://www.timezone.com/library/tzints/tzi...685739687608484
  21. Are these beautifully colored markers a matter of time and age, or a mark of these particular models ? I would love to own one.. have the perfect strap in transit purchased for a watch I currenty own.. but it would look even better on one of the above... Besides the Radiomir vintage models }..unless our dealer's photographs are not showing the true colors.... has anyone purchased a pam that has deep yellow markers ? If so.. where ? Thanks much in advance...
  22. Sorry to hear about this. Some of our problems are caused by human error, be that from the manufacturer, rough shippers, handlers.. or ourselves.. and have no bearing on the watch itself.. I have had strings of bad luck, however on the most part my experience with reps has been a very positive one... close to 70 watches to date, coming in and going out..keeping my collection fresh.... I am loving this game.. A sliver cloud is just around the horizon for you.... keep going !
  23. Having owned both 42 & 45mm po's... I can say that the full size is not so large... plays much smaller than a 44mm panerai, which I own several as well. As for it being a dress watch, I consider it an all occasion diver.. and don't forget that the PO is the New Bond watch...and he's doing some pretty undressy things while wearing it.
  24. Hey look who's here... Great to have you Omni !
