This is a great deal that many will regret not taking advantage of. I can understand the expense, but if you have any pieces that are worth selling, I guarantee that this watch is worth five of them. Grab this deal now, then sell the others later to make up for it. Everyone needs at least one Top Rated time piece in their collection, otherwise you can end up with just a box full of pretty, but worthless junk. White is great for the day.. Black for night.. I prefer Black however, most times,..Silver markers are like stars on a velvet black sky.

I like the metal rims around her markers,.. they look the most accurate to me.. also did you notice the leather strap with the logo deployant ? Never saw that before...

Well thank Chronus, for that tip.. It's the 063 for me,.. I had 029, though not a 2893 and sold it,.. I prefer the busy face over the tux dial....and me too with Eddie,.. he's got one of the remaining batch.. Maybe you are right, if we can, we should snag the remaining few..

Some one posted in my gmt thread search, that the 2893 GMT's are no longer being produced. I inquired with both Jay of Silix and Eddie, ..... both say that it's true... This prompted me to sell some of my newly acquired pieces in order to obtain one... which I now have in transit.. I had been contemplating this watch for a while, but thought I had to act quick, and I'm glad I did. I also hear that some people are buying but not wearing, for the prospect of reselling these limited edition gems in future ....with, get this, a profit next time around..No more taking a loss to get sale.. There is only a few remaining... just thought I'd inform some you that may be sitting on the fence, that your time to obtain a new one, may be running out. Also in regards to the used market,.. has anyone seen any up for sale ? I have seen only one 029, but not the 063,.. These watches must be one of the few grail pieces, like the 7753 powered models.. but, now also............. rare and limited...

Because for me, the value of things are not guided by created perceptions. Functionality, maybe, but not labels, which means that I will not deep sea dive, trek with dogs to the south pole, or attempt a moon walk while wearing my replicas. Other than that,.. my well chosen replicas, will guide me in this passage through time, as well as any marked up hype ever could, while leaving, not just my bank account, but my sense of self intact.

This issue has been satisfied with Watch-a.. As for King & I,.. I have already posted my sentiments. Thanks however for caring, but we need to let this post die a natural death.

Watch-a- As I replied to your pm,.. I posted for future reference, for others that may feel a need to post such, before they think or inquire.. which by the way you should have done. These kind of posts can lead to the extinction of a rare species.. an Honest Dealer, all of which we enjoy here, but sometimes take for granted. I was in open to all contact from you,.. you only needed to write me on your thoughts,.. after all it was in reference to not just King, but to a transaction done by me... therefore your actions forced my hand. Since however you understand the point,.., I'm sure no one holds anything against you.. nor do I. We all make mistakes.. I did nearly the same when I first came to the game... but I lived was forgiven and learned. All the best to you,

I think you will find that on most reps glued on markers are always mis-aligned, that is one reason I shyed away from Rolax for a long while, and went with panerai. To request refund however or exchange will only break the bank for our dealers.. as they will only be able to request another blind drop ship, which usually results in the same, but this time in your 12'Oclock marker, which leaves a waste of expensive ems and time,.. I know this from long experience. The only logical recourses are to replace your face, with gen, request the dealer to hand check a face for alignment, and ship it to you. Last but not least, in future go to a dealer that delivers in person. Though you will usually pay a premium for that service.

Regarding the post that accuses King of false advertising, it should have never been posted in the manner in which it was, or in my opinion ever posted. I don't know how long Watch-a-Doin has been around, but he made an error in judgement. I could handle this via pm but it would not serve a larger purpose. King has been one of our Top Notch dealers for years, and anyone that knows the game, understands that large volume dealers do not have control over what their shippers send out. It's the risk they take, that cuts a step in time, additional potential mailing headaches, and money, which which is passed on to us in lower prices. As long at the dealer assumes responsibilty for the error, they are doing their best. King has proven that she stands by us.. so we should stand by her. This has been discussed in the previous thead, but worth mentioning again for those that have not read or understood the semantics. Now to my point about the whole issue of the band and the previous post. I am the one that made the purchase from King, so if I were to learn that the gold in my watch were less than 14k, it would be my choice make waves or not. Not a third party, that pleaded to buy the band, chewed the price from $80 to $50, then takes it to who knows who, for gold testing, then requests and obtains an additional discount to $25. His recourse was through me, which I took responsitility for, even though I have no facts regarding his claims or the person that he claims, did the testing. No matter, don't sweat the small stuff. Okay, all said and done,.. but I ask you, what is the point in purchasing a 14k TT watch ? Is it for resellability or durability ? For me it's the second choice. I say we don't need another reason to cause stress in our little world of replicas that is already checkered with holes. Why not concentrate on the issues we have control over... and enjoy the many surprises that also accompany the game ? For me, King is still of the Hill and I will go back for another 14 or whatever K watch..as the one I have is sweet as it comes

I agree, King deserves the benefit and our respect, she's earned it. Not to mention that would be very easy for some manufacturer to run low on gold,..and simply make due.. and not much a drop shipping dealer could do, or even PT, unless he or anyone is willing to test each & every delivery.. losing a link in the process. I would bet that many of us who think their 14k or even higher is stat, would be surprised.. and most will never know, because like I said before, 10k is much better than plated. This is a rep,.. I don't care about the composition, as long at it's not mis-represented plate. The point is, who here is buying 14k reps in hopes of one day melting it down for cash return? I don't know about you, but the the reason I go for gold in watch is for the durability.

Hi Arch, I can't agree with you 100% here.., Regarding gold at least from the PT post regarding 14k TT reps, which was posted before I did my purchase,..what I paid I believe is normal, and to be honest, personally, I would not care if it were 14 or 10k, it's still better than a plated piece, and I suspect will serve it's purpose as a replica, which by the way is one of the best Rolaxes I have had to date... and I have had a few. As for King, you may be right that she's quicker than what she allows some of us to think.. that's all speculation however, what is not, is how she comes through when there is a dire problem,... the kind that some don't understand the definition of.. Out of the three times in about 20, when I had drop-ship problems, she sent another watch without charge never requesting a return. On top of which, she actually sourced me two watches she did not carry, just to make sure I was happy. The Iwc that Watch-a-doin has on his wrist is one,.. I requested Stainless, but she knew that those models had a potential brake flaw, so she went out of her way to make sure it did not happen again.. Just too bad for me I don't have an eye for Titanium,.. Out of the many dealers I have enjoyed trading with, she is Tops in my book and that's not dealer worship,.. just plain fact, built upon experience.

The band was mine from King, however I don't hold her responsible, the dealers are at the mercy of the distributers or the manufacturer's reps. King is still in my book one of the best, having stood up for me and taken losses, when her network failed her. This one is on me.
