Isn’t the link in the first post? Lol.

I don’t buy from unconfirmed Reddit sources, hence a legit check. This is listed as v3 while our friend posted that it looks like v2j. So, asking where our friend purchased his... I don’t know about you, consistent nomenclature instills some confidence. And with all these cloned sites out there, you never know

So your wife has gone to all that trouble of ageing your watch and you have the audacity to dismantle it! I suggest you give it back to her to rebuild it for you. Some people just don't know when to stop.
good point, haha ...
“story of my life” she says

Ha you all are a trip. She wanted me to let you know she will take requests, with scented upgrades available but will not do your laundry. As far as the temps used, I think cold wash and med-hi heat to dry for 40 or so minutes. Unsure of the detergent or fabric softener used, though some trade secrets must remain close lol.
I’m not sure the specific model, but they’re those computerized gizmo front loading ones by Samsung... I suspect they might have a custom dial aging setting ? programmed in.

Wake up early this morning, so I had some spare time for "bezel ring cooking"
Some comparison pics, 5513 eBay bezel ring untouched vs 5513 bezel ring polished and "cooked" (still same process : 30mn cooking / cooldown, repeat 3 times)
I definitely LOVE that subtle "yellow/gold" color ... next month I'll try coloring a complete watch using that method
I will also do some test soaking a stainless steel piece in linseed oil before "cooking" to see what I get ... linssed oil is supposed to enhance the process so I should get a more brownish color
Great work as usual, thanks for sharing!

About a week ago I misplaced my 1016 build, and naturally I was quite panicked, until it showed up in my wife’s hands with a whoops on her face. The watch had fallen into the hamper and made it’s way through both wash and dry cycles. I wouldn’t expect the case to be air tight, but was delighted that it was ticking strong and keeping good time.
There was however, some damage to the dial, some of the matte finish faded away... I kind of like the look and simply appreciate just having it back.
I guess it’s wabi sabi, or so as they say... what do you guys think?

Could you call your ISP and get a new static IP for the box?
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI assume you've tried MAC address filtering at the router/firewall?

Late 50s UG Polerouter with twisted lugs and microrotor. Love this piece because it's designer Gerald Genta, who went on to designing Royal Oak, Nautilus, was only 20 or so at the time.

Should note that I've had this for a couple years now and have never had any problems until recently.
Can someone point me to where I can buy these screws?
-
Hey all, opened up my TC sub to investigate the suspected "loose" rotor, and it appears there's nothing holding it in place. It looks like there should be at least a couple screws here...

Going to assume that it is, pic seems of vintage gen, and can't seem to find one anywhere else.
That said--If anyone has a lead on a gen or Franken or rep... holler. May make a fun homage mod project.

I coincidentally have leads on two rare Heuer Carreras, and they're both missing their inner tension rings, where the markers are printed.
There's very limited information and parts available for these on the web, hoping some my fellow horological enthusiasts might have a lead...

I have one FS in the trade zone, I love it, but must part with it.

This topic should be permanent read for all new members, ha! @nanuq +1

On the bay, looking for a piece for my wife. The red flag for me are the lume markers above numbers, consistent with reps... as I understand these markers should be "at an angle"
Help!
