  1. Got myself an iPad on release day, it's fantastic

Much better than I first thought or whatever anyone says

I highly recommend it, and lack of flash is not much of an annoyance, most popular website now render video in HTML5 so they play within iPad's browser

And pictures look unbelievable, especially all of your wristshots :thumbsupsmileyanim:

    Luke

P.S. I'm surfing RWG on it now

  2. Thanks for the tips guys,

I decided to replace the crystal to a more gen-like T39

The original has cracked under stress also so its definitely time to replace it

however i have been looking at getting this crystal and a better insert before the incident, so it just gives me an excuse :)

The watch itself has come out great, much better than i expected, i will post pics once i have installed the new hardware

    Thanks again guys

    Luke

  3. Hey Guys

I'm in the process of aging my Rolex Comex 1665 and i have ended up melting a portion of my plexi crystal

i have sanded it down with very fine sand paper but i have left a large area of scratches from sanding

i face the delema of either attempting to fix the crystal or replacing the crystal

i dont want to spend to much on my mistake, i dont not own any watch tools so please take that into consideration

    Thanks for your help

  4. Hey Guys,

I have a friend interested in buying his first rep after seeing some of my recent purchases

I am fairly new to the rep business so i need some suggestions for the watch

He loves Explorer 2's, but mostly white faces

    He loves GMT II's

but he is open to suggestions on any rolex, he mainly wants a classic rolex, with the best combination of accuracy and look

Any suggestions would be great, but model specific so i am able to find the most reliable and accurate

    Thanks

    Luke

  5. Hey Guys

After a long wait for it to finally arrive, may i present to you my latest acquisition.

The Rolex Submariner Blue Ceramic, 116619LB

Without getting into too much detail, the watch is fantastic, in my opinion the best Rolex rep you can buy for the price range

The construction is top notch, the bezel is the perfect tone of blue and the dial is immaculate

The lume has to be my favorite aspect of the watch, the eye catching blue is beyond bright after a good charge, and will be clearly visible in a well lit room

For all the major details of the watch check out Spirit's review over at RepGeek

  6. Don't worry Luke, it's the crazy season!! Everything moves at a snails pace at this time of year!!

You think this is a long wait, try ordering a watch and forgetting it's just a day before the Chinese new year!!

Now there is a full fat fun wait for ya!! ;) lol

    Sixx :bones:

hahahahahahaha, i actually had quite a chuckle from that one

Thanks again guys, nothing like some wise wisdom from the seasoned rep-masters

    Luke

  7. Tis the Season for all things in the pipeline to slowwwww down considerably.. it is out of anyone "control" and we are at the mercy of the Postal Service.. being that what it is now with the cutbacks and closures of PO units.. things have slowed to a crawl.. I sent a Priority mail to the east coast 10 day's ago and it still has not arrived.. and I am in the USA

Thanks so much, i fell much better now and especially with you telling me that.

    Hopefully it should arrive soon

    Regards

    Luke

  8. Hey guys,

Im not one to complain, but i recently purchased a rep from a trusted dealer. i sent the money through WU on the 3rd of December and its now the 22nd and still nothing. it may be the holiday traffic, but 3 weeks is pushing it

The tracking info on EMS has said it left customs and sorting on the 6th

Im located in New York, ive had some reps come in 6 days, from order to arrival

I thought id let it wait, but 3 weeks is a bit insane

Hopefully it should be here soon, the wait only adds to the want

    Any ideas?

    Regards

    Luke

  9. Hi Gioarmani,

Where did you find it on ET' page?

I am clicking a lot, but i can't find it.

    Tnx.

    E.

On the home page there is a section "New Watches 2009" within the flash box, then go to "new V5", the pictures should be there, there are more pages accessible on the top of the box.

    Hope that helps,

    Luke

  10. Wellll... Subdial spacing is horrid along with lots of other things.... If you want a nice one, talk to Spin and he will hook you up with a correct one for $600 shipped to your face :)

Thanks for the input, but who is this "DW" character who is always associated with vintage daytonas

    Thanks

    Luke

  11. Hey Guys,

I'm really liking it here thumbsupsmileyanim.gif, but i digress.

I have always loved the look of the "Paul Newman" Daytona, such a classy look for such a sporty watch and it only gets better with time.

So, I'm in the market to purchase one, i have found one from Josh, however if there are any other ones out there that are better, do tell.

I would prefer a 37mm with a hand winding movement and correct sub-dial spacing is a must, more of an accurate replication in my opinion.

    Here's my current favorite,

Please tell me what you guys think of it and if its worth it, and if there are any others out there worth looking at.

    Thanks to all,

    Luke

  12. The 21 jewel model is a great buy, but for me I just adore the grey dial of the 7750 model.

And I try to strive for the most accurate replication possible and it looks like the 7750 model is the closest. Quality first, price second.smile.gif (not to sound to cocky, I'm only 17 haha)

  13. Thanks so much for the help guys. I'm so glad this is a worthy timepiece I love the timeless look biggrin.gif

But if I can trouble u guys once again seeing that you have been such a great help, what do you guys think of these.

I do know of all the risks associated with the 7750, "the movement from hell" as some say, but i think it is well worth the risk for such a beautiful timepiece. biggrin.gif

But I am less informed about the Paul Newman, please fill me in on anything i should know about it.

    Thanks so much

    Luke

  14. Hey Guys,

I'm a little new around here, I've been monitoring the forums for a few weeks now and I think I'm officially addicted, so I thought that I should make my first post.

The watch in question is the new Rolex Comex 1665 Sea Dweller, I love the design and the age of the watch, also the rarity of the Comex dial, not to mention the great story behind the organization.

So I wanted to see what opinion you guys had on the watch, also this is my first rep purchase. :D

And would it be worth it to get the ETA or just settle with the asian and $50 in my pocket :)

    Thanks Guys,

    Luke
