Oooo nice. Oh, I'm spliting this with a friend, so 6 each. Or maybe 3 friends.
One good thing about getting single winders are, if one breaks, the other ones still work.
-
Being cheeeeap.... I came across these. What do you think? Its not those fancy smancy ones, but it does have these features:
# Clockwise or counterclockwise rotation.
# Super silent motors (no noise)
# IC Timer: 1 hour moving 3 hours resting.
http://www.4-watches.com/watch-winder/index.html
I emailed them with some questions and they promptly replied:
1) what if some of the 12 was not working properly or has defect ? (whats the exchange policy?) http://www.4-watches.com/casio/policy.html
2) how are the quality of these winders? Good.
3) can the AC adaptor be constantly plugged without the danger of overheating? I have not had any one with this problem or any problem.

Sorry, but for all I enjoyed Vegas, as an Italian citizen I find describing the concrete and glassfibre warehouse with the artificial dampness on the floor tiles being decribed as 'St. Mark's square' rather comical. My impression of 'The Venetian' compared to the real Venice was like being in a Walt Disney cartoon version of reality.
Out of all the hotels in Vegas, the only one that didn't have me laughing out loud was The Bellagio as it didn't try to ape another part of the world.
But when I went to Venice 2 yrs ago, rode on the gondola, it was pretty sad. Because the entire town was a ghost town. No one lives there anymore, buildings were dirty and in ruins, and its all run up by shops trying to lure tourists.
So I thought I'd be totally impressed by Venice, but I was left with a feeling of sadness and emptiness

Andrew has a genuine!!!!!
Cost: Priceless
Hehe Cost: Priceless? Maybe more like 1 billion dollars to raise a kid

waiting is the hardest part. EMS is so slow to update.. (which doesn't make the wait easier)..
Yes, very slow. Oh, try the other tracking websites too. I tired the last one and found it at Lam Kupur, then suddenly it was at my house that same night !!

Sad news, unfortunately, the Omega clasp is not closing properly.
Also when I pull to the 3rd click to adjust the date, if I go anti-clockwise, the needles do NOT move and it comes looser and looser, (probably unscrew right out if I continue) !
Is this normal ?
And the G on the GMT is not properly painted/formed. So with these things, I have to mail back to Andrew and he will replace it. Sucks that shipping is gonna cost me a lot !!!

Oh wow, congrats.... !!!

That's the rotor that winds the mainspring... All automatic watches have a rotor so they wind when you move.
The ETA Valjoux 7750 is even louder... Beautiful sound, isn't it?
Oh i see. It is spinning so fast, doesn't even sound like it was attached to anything. I thought something came loose big time .
-
They're both junk send them to me.
Ken
Ok sorry, yes it's normal
Ken
Gee... I almost dropped my jaw there for a sec.
Why does it spin like that?
-
I have two watches, one is Asian Automatic 21J, the other is Swiss ETA 2824-2 Automatic.
When I hold them in my hand and move them side to side medium fast, then stop, I can hear the pendulum (I think thats what you call it) inside spin freely by itself quite fast. Then slows and stops.
They are both not fully wound, barely 1 day of wearing in a few days.
Is this normal? What's going on?
-
Wow, great stories all.
But I was totally distracted from the AVATAR pics !!! Geeez....
EDGE, who is that Jap ?

I assume you are talking about the bottle of wine in the white wrapping??? you better not be making fun of my tiny wrists!!! lol....
it's a bottle of Penfold's Grange... aussie wine...
Ah... my appologies. I'm a wine-idiot.

Me too... I can't wait !!
I loved that last Anime Transformer movie with Cybertron, etc.
I actually have the very old Japanese Transformers (with Micro-man) with real die-cast made. Sitting in a box, waiting for its value to go up hehe

Very nice!
Sorry is that a sausage??
-
Wow, nice. Sleek and classy !!

3 days since PP was compleated for me and havent recieved tracking yet, no biggie, he'll send when its shipped...very excited..
oooo...What did you get?
-
I'm new myself, and just got my first 2 reps (Omega SMP GMT and Bell&Ross) from Trustytime. Both arrived safely in about 4 days after my Paypal transaction.
I've learned a lot from this forum and tons more to learn.
From what I see here, Perfect Clones's Josh is very highly regarded. So there is more confidence if you ordered from him. At least you know his work is not a scam (like others I've read on here).
I'm not sure how you can tell if the movement is ETA, etc... I guess you'd have to open it up and really know what you are looking for ?
-
4 days wow...
the Bell & Ross looks very classy..
It was faster than I thought. I was just using the tracking, seeing "okay its in Lum Kapur, Thailand? Malaysia? Then when I got home, package at my mailbox, I'm like NO WAY !!" After opening like 5 layers of bubble wrap and envelopes, there they were !!
Yes, it looks very nice in person. Very classy and shiny. Sure attracts attention. The black leather band with white stitching looks sharp too.
Now I'm not sure if the date position is correct, I think the real one has it at 5 or 6 o'clock? But that's okay, non of my friend have actually seen a real B&R anyways haha
