  1. That ok, you are forgiven ;0) Again, I have to say well done on the watch.
  2. Just a quick question. Does anyone know how to remove the gen insert from the gen bezel of the 42 mm PO? I have a gen PO and have removed the bezel from the case. I have a black aftermarket insert that I want to replace the orange one with. But I cant seem to remove the insert from the bezel. Any help and advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
  3. +1 That is one of my grails. Daniel Craig wears one.
  4. Its beautiful! I want to build one. Now you have inspired me to actually do one.
  5. Vintage sub today Then Flake tonight
  6. I do not have a measuring caliper but from placing them on top of each other, the look very similar. So, i would say yes.
  7. Wow!! Beautiful. Love it. This is a what patience and research gets you.
  8. The 1665 is thicker than the 1680. It has a taller bezel and crystal and also the case is thicker. However the diameter is similar. The 1665 has a better presence. Here are some photos of the 1665 and 1680 1665 Above 1680 Above
  9. I know that I would not be satisfied with a low end gen. I have a couple in my drawer that I do not use. I would opt for the super rep that accepts gen parts as, I would be able to add onto as I see fit and when I can afford it. With a low end gen, there is not much more mods you can carry out on it. Also, there is more fun being able to add/ build your rep. This would add to the sentimental value.
  10. Its a beautiful watch. It has the right amount of the aged look.
  11. I agree with Panerai153. 6 months ago I had no idea on where to start but after spending lots of time on this great forum and doing my research, I can now put together in my opinion a decent 1680 with the right parts for my small budgets. So, spend some time here and you will be saying the same thing to a new member in the near future. Furthermore, the established members here are happy to help if you are stuck.
  12. This is great information. Thank you Pete. Now I can go invest in one.
  13. Lol, more like potent bleach.
  14. Sunday: I ve just installed a T19 on my franken 1680. I have also added a gen 9315 bracelet and old style crown tube with crown (thanks Ubi).
