  1. Maybe he works for AP, and they use mexican salsa to prepare the metal? Kinda like when you drop a copper coin in ketchup and leave it overnight...
  2. hehe, I didn't notice, the crown got to me..
  3. Pannie Daylight With a crown you'll cut your fingers on! Authentic fake, but he's not sure..
  4. Hehe JTB.. There's a new kind of smart: Google Smart! I live my life online thinking "I can't be the only one with this problem, I am sure someone messed up as bad as I just did, and hopefully they posted it somewhere.." And 90% of the time, someone did.. The last 10 you bounce ideas and possible cures off people and get where you want..
  5. Welcome in! I know the feeling man http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showforum=19 http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?autoco...E=02&cat=16 But like you may have read on the forum already: Take your time.. Taaaaaake your sweet time! Drool over the watches, find a few you want and start gathering information about them, both genuine and reps, it's the best way to learn. Don't jump into anything. Read a LOT on the forum. That's better both for you and the dealers. Don't be afraid to ask questions here, as long as it's seeking information instead of "Who has the best SUB/SMP/PAM" and so on... People are more than willing to help you out. If there's anything you wanna know, use this very thread you have made to ask about stuff. People check the new posts all the time, so it WILL get noticed and more than likely answered.. Enjoy your stay, and if if you like what you see, please upgrade your membership, cost you $5 for a month, and you contribute to this great place. -Ape-
  6. NOS = New Old Stock 'These are parts that are new and unused, but are out of production. (Contrary to what you might see on eBay, NOS does not mean Nice Old S**t)!' So, new parts that are not used yet, might be from the original factory, or produced on a license by some subcontactor, and sold later in batches to dealers or whatever..
  7. It reminds me of the water taps in the bathroom in my grandma's house I'd buy it just for that...
  8. Thankee Pho! I'd be ripped off senseless if it had not been for this place.. I owe chatting with swedish Marcus a big thanks for the Panerai interest as he pointed me towards the 111h and the 192. Having bought these watches, I've lost a little interest in buying more, now it's more enjoying them, getting a few decent straps and looking forward to maintaining them.. My girlfriend is getting annoyed hearing "Oh btw, a new Panerai will be showing up in the mail in a few days, mind picking it up?" She loves the 111h though! I might have to buy a 40mm pam for her.. @Linder, sorry man! I just needed justification!
  9. When I am at sea: Porn When I am at home.. Also Porn.. You know the adult friend finder ads? When I am at home it says "Find a sex partner in Bergen tonight!" or whatever place I live at.. But now on the boat it says "Find a sex partner in Satellite Provider tonight!"
  10. Dammit Linder! You KNOW you are supposed to explain it by using sexual organs as examples! Here goes: If you have a big penis (swan neck), you don't have to use all of it, so you can be more accurate.. Having that extra couple of inches to use if needed.. If you have a small one(no swan neck), that's all you've got, and you need to use all of it, and that way you might get a little sloppy, and overdo it.. The woman might like both of them, but I am sure she prefers the bigger one.. So, if you need that little extra ooomph(to adjust your watch), it's easier with the long penis(swan neck), because you have that extra girth or length to use(more accurate). But if you're just having normal sex (being happy with how the watch keeps time) you'll probably never need the difference.. ..'cept of course that you would brag about a big penis (swan neck watch) and you'd never tell people about a little one.. (no swan neck watch)
  11. Yeah, the crown, crown guards, hands, pearl and HE-valve placement all indicate a genuine.. So I don't thing there's any doubt about that. I don't know if the gen can be fixed like the rep can, like the man said, it's probably just a slip-up in quality control.. No camera angle can make it THAT bad. desoxyRNS, the bezel insert does not line up with a point on the bezel.. That's what's misaligned..
  12. Hell yeah! I once got a blowjob in the off-topic section, and I hear they are gonna bring women into the RWG Chat for cybering and stuff! This will be like an "all you need" forum! I mean look at it! Watches, medical advice, house plans, bicycles, football, investment advice, holiday destinations, music, jokes, cars and boobs all over. Hell, we even get some drama and crime too! If someone were to implement a Google search bar, and a link to my bank, I'd NEVER have to leave this wonderful forum. I must have done SOMETHING right to find this place Thanks again to users and management!
  13. Benefits? It allows the swan to reach the food on the bottom of the pond better.. No, the Swan-neck spring is an adjustment system used to very exactingly regulate the rate of a watch. This is done by precisely creating return torque for the index using a spring that is shaped like a swan's neck. You know, basically push against the +/- thingy (index) in the back of your watch that regulates the time-keeping by a few seconds a day or hour. You see it in open back watches.. Without it, you are more likely to over-adjust it.. And I suppose it provides some kind of reference point of adjustment too. A very good pic of one: http://www.thepurists.com/watch/features/8...ack-off-025.jpg PS: I am sure someone who actually handled one can tell you in more detail if you need to know. This is just what I found after wondering about it myself.
  14. Not to be a sourpuss, but I'm not a fan! It kinda looks like the bezel fell off..
  15. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showforum=18 http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=397 And use common sense
  16. Been here for 2 months come friday, but having learned a lot and laughed even more, I feel I can post mine too. 1. Omega Seamaster Professional GMT 2. Fellow member Overboosted 3. yeah, wear it every day at sea. It's already got a few minor battle scars. I love it.
  17. Nanuq used to steal bikes for a living?
  18. WOoo! I won a free year! Lucky nr 42! Thanks a bunch guys! This makes me happy for not upgrading for a whole year earlier today. Well, just another good excuse to hang around in one of the friendliest forums I have ever been part of. And just as well that I didn't win the tools, my watches breathe a sigh of relief. Congrats to the other wieners
  19. Damn! Those beach cruisers are sweet! I'd love one, but they cost quite a lot more over here. I'll buy a lowrider for my baby girl when she's old enough though I like this one for myself
  20. Sony Ericsson K800i, a safe buy.. on a contract you'll get it at around $150 here in norway.. They say the Z710i is quite decent too.. W810i is good, I have had that myself.. I'm a Sony-Ericsson user lately, and have had few/no problems with my last 3 phones.
  21. Damned Burglarians! You just can't trust those eastern europeans anymore!
  22. A buddy of mine used one of those widdle bottles of scratch-away polishing paste you use to get scratches off cellphone LCDs.. Worked like a dream. His was a Volvo V70, so I can't see why it wouldn't work on yours.. His car had been hit by a lot of flying sand in a storm, and for some odd reason insurance covered everything but the damage to the headlights. Anyway, in case you don't take my word for it, I took the liberty of googling for you, and came up with this: Polish your headlights -Ape-
