  1. I know it's a clone, I was saying that I'll wait for one with a Swiss movement and by that time someone will do a decent review of the case. I think the most important aspects of this watch are the case (with the bezel lock button) and the sapphire bezel.
  2. It doesn't look bad, like the lume, hope it has some WR and expect one with a Swiss mvmnt. The omega logo looks wrong...
  3. I got the spare dial from eurotimez when I ordered the watch, I also ordered a spare hand-set but that didn't arrive...
  4. My problem is with those damned lume dots. When I ordered the watch I ordered a spare dial hoping that at least one is more accurate, but no succes I'm afraid. So I had the dial lumed and the dots placed properly, but I'm still not happy with the result: You're probably right and I should chill, I was just thinking that a gen dial would really make the difference. Cheers, Catalin
  5. I know this thread is a year old but did anyone find a source for original skyland dials to this day? All I see on the bay are avenger dials... Catalin
  6. I can't wait to get the watch back, I bought in November last year and it's been in the shop since January. I will post pictures when it arrives of course. I have another vintage Certina diver at an American watchmaker since January too. It's really hard coping with all this waiting but I hope that the end result is satisfactory. Cheers, Catalin
  7. Thanks a lot Ubi, you are the MAN!!! My guy already ordered genuine hands so hopefully when he installs them, everything will work properly. Cheers, Catalin
  8. I see, is it possible that when the new hand set is installed, the chrono hands will engage properly?
  9. Hi guys, I sent a skyland in for a lume job and to have the Asian movement replaced with a brand new Swiss7750. I bought the movement from a Swiss ebay seller with 100% feedback and the movement is actually brand new. The problem is that after replacing the movements, the chrono seconds hand won't fit and the minute and hour chrono hands won't move. The guy that has the watch ordered an original hand set that will fit, but doesn't know how to fix the minute and hour hand. Can anyone help me with this issue? Thank you in advance, Catalin
  10. Thank you, and good luck to you too foucalt, I am one step behind you, I have everything but the case and blue insert. Cheers, Catalin
  11. Well, I cancelled the deal on the ebay. The seeler wasn't sure about authenticity so we agreed to cancel. Should everything go according to plan, I will have the datewheel (thank you again, Ubi), the dial and hands, the crown and the movement. That leaves me looking for a case and a bezel insert. Yuki is fist option at the moment and I was told that a blue insert will be made available in the near future. Thanks, Catalin
  12. That's too bad, since I already have a standard 2784 in better condition and a Yuki Tudor rotor. At least it wasn't that expensive...
  13. Thanks Ubi, and I really appreciate it, I won't be using the roulette DW then. But can the movement be used? Is it an original Tudor movement?
  14. I just bought this: Tudor ETA2784 What do you think? I already have a nos ETA 2784, so what can I use from the Tudor movement except the date-wheel, which was the reason I bid on it in the first place? Should I recondition the TUdor movement with parts from the other movement? Cheers, Catalin
  15. Hi, Could you tell me where I can find a bracelet like the one on the Tudor? I think it looks very nice. Thanks, Catalin
  16. Hi guys, Which of the two bezels is more suitable for my project ??? And I would also like to know the lug width of the watch in order to buy a pair of springbars. Thank you all, Catalin
  17. Ok, so if Ubi helps me out with the datewheel, all I need now is a blue bezel insert (the seller only has black bezels). So, if anyone has any idea on where to find a good blue insert (original or aftermarket) please let me know. Ah yes, and a pair of springbars too is also sought after Thank you, Catalin
  18. Small update: found a good condition ETA2784, but it has the date at 6 o'clock. Can I fit a datewheel that displays the date at 3??? Cheers, Catalin
  19. Great, it seems that the 2783 is easier to source so I might go down that route. Much appreciated info, Ubi. Cheers, Catalin
  20. What are the differences between 2783 and 2784? The yuki parts are designed for the 2784, can I use another more available movement without further modding? Catalin
  21. Ubi, can you give me the link to the website?
  22. I will go with the yuki parts, but they don't have a blue insert, so all I need is the insert, the movement and a decent DW. Any ideas on where to find these?
  23. Thank you all. I have decided to move away from gen parts and look for good quality aftermarket parts. I was qouted 700usd for a case, dial and hands set, a tudor rotor and a gen tube and crown. If I can find a mvmt and blue insert for 200 and watchmaker for 200, I m happy. What do you think? Is MBW a better alternative and how can I find his website? Cheers and a nice weekend to everyone. Catalin
  24. Hello guys, I have decided upon a Tudor 9411 project and I'm in need of some information. I plan on buying from www.yukiwatch.com the following parts: 9411 case and crystal (hope they are available), blue dial, hands set and a Tudor rotor. The questions are: - what crown is suitable for this case and where can I buy one? - where can I find an ETA-2784, a silver DW and a blue bezel insert? - where can I find a good watchmaker in the EU to put these together and waterproof the watch? - any chance the project will cost me less than 1000$? I'm sure there are other aspects I haven't thought about so anyone that has some insight please feel free to post your thoughts. Best Regards, Catalin
