This is the dial I got. To me it looks beautiful. What do you think?
Ordred a Athaya 700 crown and a crystal from clark. Probably should get new hands too
-
yes, my mistake, for the 6263 I need a 7mm crown
athaya offers 700 and 702 crowns? What is the difference? the 702 has dots and the 700 not? what else?
-
got a great dial and the base watch until now...
I was looking for a crown... reference guide is saying oyster twinlock 600..
Kindda having trouble finding a good replica option or a decent priced NOS/Used Gen...
Any suggestions? I am ready to pay 100-150 USD for crown+tube.
(can I just use any 6mm rolex crown with the line under the crown?) sorry about this noob question -

No Daytona print, but different pushers.
I know about this, but not a fan of the cartel Dials...
For me the Dial is almost the most important Piece of the Watch...As it is the face, everyone can see
-
Beware phong has two different quality dials, high end ones are 700-750 USD
Thanks, but 700-750 is way more than im willing to pay... It is more or less my budget for this watch
I have a no Daytona ROC dial from DW's first batch if you're interested....
sent you a PM about it.
Any oppinions about the pushers? Do i need to replace the cartel ones?
-
i will use the St-19 Model from the Cartel and get the hand fixxed.
DW is really gone right?
Never heard of phongs ebay store, but will check this out, thanks Tomhorn

Hi
I am planing to build a Vintage Daytona Fap 6263
Would like to show my idea and would be happy about any inputs from you Guys
this is how it should look in the End:
Base Watch will be a Cartel 6263 like this: http://www.torobravo2015.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=39_214&product_id=1048
Crown + Tube from Athaya
Dial from Phong: (it is the only dial I found without the daytona Writing on it... even tough it is quite expensive 450 USD) other options are very welcome!
http://i821.photobucket.com/albums/zz133/HUGI91/19-06-2015%2022-19-03.jpg
To install the Dial I will use this way: http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=145508&highlight=MOD+6263+CARTEL+GEN+DIAL
So what do you think about my plans? Do I need to replace the pushers too? Any benefits of it?
Bezel replacement? (Phong charges 350-450 USD... too much for my budget)
Any help is greatly appreciated
Have a great Weekend

Hi all
I am planing to buy a Montauk and a white Rubber Strap.
Searched Ebay for a white Rubber Strap, didnt find one. Neither I found from replica dealers
So where could I get one? AP Boutique? (I have one near my house)
Does anyone know how much a rubber strap is (roughly)
thanks
Phil

yes thats true.. it looks a bit strange. but the surrounding of the DW is black which wasnt on the first versions of the Safari.
The last owner said he bought it half a year ago and paid 430 euros for it.
quality is good I think. Will open to check the movement but I dont have a clue what else should be in it.
I now found an AP Diver Crown and will try to install this one.
-
little update:
I found an offer for an AP Diver Crown.
will this one fit??
-
It is a second at 12 modell.
Well I asked two trusted dealers and they say no,because I didnt buy the watch from them. Well I will never buy a watch from them in future.
I got the watch from a privat sale and even if the seller got the watch from these two they didnt want to sell me the crown
Still hope somebody here has a spare crown or Mary can help me out. She has always been great soo far.

Hi folks
I got my AP safari today, which I really love
I wore it tonight to the bar and now I lost the rubber thing around the crown It really makes me feel sad. As I love this watch so much and now it just looks stupid without the black rubberthing around the crown..
here is a pic:
does anyone know where I can get these rubber thing??? anyone has a sparepart? I pay $$$

Hi
Francisco used to do graphite treatment but since its not working for all the watches i guess he is not doing it anymore, but you should ask him.
About bricciola he was saying that in his opinion DLC coating doesn't work (so i guess he doesn't do it as well) however avitt did it and his watches are working great last time i heard from him. Bricciola i think still does the graphite treatment but you should inquire them about these mods...
regards
Hugo
I dont need a graphite treatment, that I can do by myself.
I need just a company or a person where I can ship the main plate for a DLC coating..

Hugi

Nice La Martina Poloshirt!! gen or rep?
Thanks for sharing the pic's!
-
I can dissasemble the watch, but then who can do the coating for me? Are there any companies in Europe or in the States?
thanks

I own a Hublot and greased the O-rings at the pushers. I did it by myself and Im not a professional..
Had a cheap thing to try the waterproofing.. It worked.. I started to build my own better tester and test again
But if you want a chrono watch to go for a swimm you better take one with screw down pushers!!

I have some screws here.. contact me if you're interested..
