  1. Nice watch Rayman :)

Am saving up for a PO / UPO... cant wait to get mine!

Thought about getting a UPO, but for the price, the Silix PO was well worth the price... lI put a silicon/rubber strap on it, but really like the feel and heft of the supplied SS one...

(The PO has replaced my trusty Sub (going on 3 years old) from Paul, as my daily wearer...

    Cheers,

    Ray

  2. sorry for the misunderstanding...the bezel insert is the problem.

Never saw an insert glued that way on a watch from any dealers... I have used super glue, but it will fail in time, especially if you shower/bath with it... I have found a replacement for super glue, and use it in all my small jobs (I have about 20 or so reps...) The glue us "G-S HYPO Cement", and can be found at craft stores, or online... I paid uinder 5 USD for my tube... It has a very small applicator... This cement will not glue ones fingers together - I am 66, and a little shaky with these small jobs...

    Hope this helps...

PS - The cement was developed in 1939 to cement watch crystals...

  3. With regards pumpkin or white numbers, that's not really something you can be advised on, it's simply a matter of personal taste. I would say that the white numbers are definitely more popular, (and as featured in Casino Royale) but that doesn't necessarily make them better. At the end of the day, it's just a case of which you feel looks nicer :) Something which the pumpkin numbers does have, is if it's put with a strap with pumpkin stitching, it looks awesome. White numerals with white stitching doesn't have the same impact.

That said, I have the Planet Ocean with white numbers and wear it on the rubber strap, as in Casino Royale.

    Hello,

I have the "latest" 45.5 MM PO from silix, and it does indeed have AR coating on the inside, not the outside of the crystal... The watch has been running 35 to 40 seconds per week, for the three weeks I have owned it... I had to buy a pin remover to resize the band...those pins/tubes are very tight... I just love the watch, and am thinking of getting the orange one... the price, with shipping was under 180 USD...

  4. Received my Asian 16610 sub from Andrew yesterday... This is my second Sub, having gotten one from Paul way back in the fall of 04... (ETA 2836 on that one)...The case and hollow link band on the new one is a lot closer to the original... So far the watch is keeping near perfect time, and the date changes instantly at midnight...unusual for an asian, as I have several of them... Will more than likely get another (ETA) from Andrew in the near future... Really like the black subs...

    Enjoy the snaps...

  5. I can assure you that there is not one snowflake anywhere near the new forum!

    None!

    It is all gone!

Pitty, but I can live with the sun also... Nice startup, I can return to RWG after spending most of my time on TRC and WT... (simply count not take any more Christmas in March) :(

    Cheers,

Rayman (and I still can't type)
