  1. Where where where???

They're all on Trusty Time with photos. Looks like they've done a nice job of the display case back! They've copied the engravings off the 8500 onto the spacer ring of the rep as well - "ADJUSTE DTO FIYE POSITIONS"

Oh well, nearly right. They got the happy feet and pearl sorted though so can't complain too much I suppose.

The bezel looks gorgeous, spot on. and the bracelet clasp complete with micro-adjustment! and screws on the bracelet links as per gen! Love it!

  2. Zdravo!

Ahhh... Croatia - I was there for my first time in May. So many wonderful memories! I stayed in Cavtat which is just down the coast from Dubrovnik. Excellent wine and beautiful countryside. I would recommend Croatia in May to anyone, nice to walk around, not too hot or humid. Plenty of Zlatorogs and Lasko Pivos were imbibed during my stay!

    Živjeli!

  3. Sorry for being really dumb, but I take it fitting the crystal with a crystal press means the crystal is a 'friction fit'? Also Rymeister, I'm guessing you used a genuine crystal gasket when fitting? I really want to get this mod on mine, I fancy a little project to keep me busy! Something weird I've also noticed, when I check my watch whilst sitting inside a car, the crystal almost disappears as though it was double-AR'd! It must be the coatings on the car glass coming into play!

    Cheers

  4. ROTFLMAO!!!

Considering one of those was for my mum, I suspect, thanks for the Hoo-lops!!

    Bvlgari.

When I read this, through our tears of laughter, my mother figured it out. She's a really un-PC lady who frequently calls our local Chinese restaurant to place a take-out order:

"2 rarge Flied lice wi' chrim, plea"

And by God if they don't have 2 large fried rice with shrimp waiting for her to pick up.

EDIT: Read this back to her, and she said I forgot the 'rarge'.

(Spare me if this shocks anyone. You think no one has ever made fun of her German accent. Lighten up people!)

  5. I'm running out of room! Goddamn it!! :D 2 reps and 2 gens. In case you were wondering the third watch is a Fortis Performance line 18k solid gold watch c.1950, the watch in the second pic is a Christopher Ward C8 Pilot limited edition with PVD coating and an ETA 2824 movement. I love it!!

  6. Thanks for the reply! It is much appreciated! It just amazes me to think they go to the trouble of making an extremely good quality case then make such a [censored]-up of the lugholes - just 2mm along and it would have been perfecto! The quality of the genuine springbars is in a different league to the crap they supply the watch with too!

How hard would it be to drill holes do you think? Or can you modify the end links instead maybe?

    Thanks so much, again. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  7. Hi guys / girls, let me tell you about my nightmare! I bought a UPO from Eurotimez back in January, I resized the bracelet no problems. I then however managed to break one of the springbars. I then bought some genuine 22mm springbars from Cousins UK only to find that they don't align with the lugholes (About 2mm off), even though they fit perfectly when tried without the bracelet end links.

Could it be that the lugholes are drilled inaccurately on the rep case, thus the need for thinner springbars and bending the ends, eventually leading to them breaking, like mine? (I wouldn't fancy a watch dropping on the floor when the crappy springbars fail!)

OR (and I hope this is the case)

Are the bracelet end links not made that accurately compared to genuine and are therefore causing the alignment problems?

It's been 2 months now since I got the watch and ain't even worn the damn thing yet!! The frustration is frying my brain!! :headhurt:

Any help for a total noob would be greatfully appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

    Matt
