  1. Need to agree.....their aren't many good ones out there of the Monaco, a shame really. I've brought in and sold a few 360 LS, and currently still have 2 24's kicking around.

Sold plenty of them because people still think they're alright, not good enough for my likes though.

  2. Well, as a 'super No0b' in both time and post count around here, all I can really say is that this community is pretty damn good just the way it is.

I've popped in and out of a few other Rep Forums, but like others have already said, RWG is home.

To comment on the traffic issue, I need to admit, I don't jump in too often......but I'm here and read pretty much every day. My PM counts are likely higher by far then my thread posts. <_<

I'm admittedly new to Reps......I've been a Gen kind of guy my whole life and used to think of Reps as very cheap paper weights you bought from a dude in a trench-coat on the street corner.

Until I started tinkering in watch/clock repair and cost myself more money than I care to divulge (my wife might be watching :whistling: )

Now I find Reps (and this community particularly) a prefect fit to my hobby.......and my wife is pleased too. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  3. My wife has the itch for a new watch; I've always bought them for her as gifts because it's been my thing. Never has she said she "wants" a new one.

She already has an old Gen TAG, a Citizen Eco Drive, a Guess and a Timex. All small "ladies" sizes. She wants something with a little bling, style and something bigger. She can likely get away with something in the 38-40mm area without any trouble, much larger and I doubt she'll like it for very long.

I'd appreciate any opinions on what you ladies like.

  4. I have the almost exact same thing going on By-Tor. My Sub took a big shock the other day and something came loose inside.....been trying everything for two days and can't budge the caseback. Had a local watch repair shop try yesterday and all he did was put a scratch in the back. :black_eye:

Going to give the hot/cold thing a try as well today......here's hoping.

If that fails I may just blast it with WD-40 and take a hammer to it. :whistling:

Please let us know how things work out for you and I'll do the same.

  5. ....self preservation.

"One of the weakest aspects of China's economic development has been its failure to build its own brands. With a few exceptions, such as Tsingtao beer and Haier white goods, Chinese brands are virtually unknown in Western markets. The fact that foreign brands dominate the China market rankles with central government economic planners, and could embolden local officials to take this kind of action, analysts say."

Can't live forever copying other peoples stuff I suppose. :whistling:
