I have tried rubbing the inserts in the past with car rubbing compound this has given good results but leaves the insert looking faded but glossy bleach does give a better result but i found it hard to control sometimes leaving it a bit longer in the bleach fades it too much this time i decided to use a different method im sure this has been done many times before, lets see if anyone can guess which method i used First i decided to do inserts that i already faded/aged to different degrees ! Insert 1 this insert has turned into a tropic dark brown although i dont think the photo shows this, in daylight/sun it looks brown Insert 2 this rafflestime insert turned in to this uexpected olive green matt finish some other photos which include some already faded inserts that have had this new treatment as well this red insert im thinking about fitting it to my blackbay homage

Cant believe how hard it is to find a backcase that fits is my snowflake build doooooooommmmmmmmmeeeedd!

Still cant find a backcase for my blueflake build i have ordered a rafflestime backcase to try but my backcase has the o-ring gasket on the backcase his are on the case and its a smaller size thread diameter the 1680 is 30.8 and raffles is 30.5 i will see if we can make some modifications to make the raffles bc fit even if i order another complete 1680 watch the backcase may still not fit i dont want to re-modify another 1680 after spending up to 500 usd on this build, next time i will order a complete yuki case set and save my self a lot of grief !
-
I purchased hundreds of replicas over the years off trusty but they still can not supply parts if there was a 21j version of the 1680 at half the price that would be no problem but this was to be a budget build otherwise i would have ordered a yuki tudor caseset in the end it would have been a better deal i think !

Well my blueflake project has gone all wrong since my engraved backcase got lost on its return from the states trying to find a replacement is proving a nightmare i have my blue flake without a backcase all others i found are about a 1mm to small on the thread i tried also rafflestime i need it to be outer 36.5mm and inner thread 30.8mm rafflestime closest is 30.5 inner i also thought about yukis tudor backcase but this is outer 36mm and inner 29.6mm the only other thing i can do is order another 1680 rep but this will cost 270usd shipped and then the case will be useless afterwards without a bc jmb made a super job of the engraving only to be lost on its return im totaly pi##ssed now !
-
These are the measuremets i need for my watch backcase outer 36.5mm , and inner (thread) 30.8mm if anyone has a backcase to sell let me know as i have said my watch is a 1680 rep base i dont know if the 5513 replicas backcase fits i tried a comex and its backcase does not fit the 1680 rep case
-
I sent my 1680 backcase to JMB and it got lost on its return shipping i dont have another backcase that fits and im trying to find one and try again !
-
Yuki told me that the tudor backcase 160usd will not fit on a rep 1680 watch which is my base for my blue flake build can anyone confirm this i dont want to risk ordering it and it wont fit !

13 is really unlucky for me so far this year ! ,i sent my 1680 rep backcase to be engraved (tudor markings) and its got lost on the return post now i dont have a backcase for my blue snowflake sub! If anyone has a 1680 replica backcase let me know i got it from trusty im not sure if a 5513 rep backcase fits i know that a 6538 cartel backcase does not fit even though they are both bubble backs my blueflake case is the 2846 trusty 1680 rep Thanks in advance !
