now that i have chose the watch which strap do i fit! my friends watchstrap arrived but was too big for his wrist so gave it to me its a 18mm width but thats the size of my bond strap which i wear with homemade spacers to keep the strap neat and central this strap is a antiqued leather type similar to the old fighter pilots straps!

HI there! you might be right about idle and watcheden the photos and items are the same! I see you too are a AVENGERS Fan! loved that tv series and diana rigg ! and she was great in "on her majestys service" will lazerby i have bought from idlereplica and was very happy with them but you have to study the items in the photo well there are some cheaper watches that have flaws like vintage sub no date with writing on the dial o,perpetual date! but his swiss high quality watches are good

what the rep factories need is a few resident (Forum expert) vintage watch consultants! but then again we would not have any thing to mod and complain about!!! sharp eyes you have there!thats what makes this forum great!

Yes these new series are the way to go for a low priced goodlooking watch! i see kingwatch has the redsub with the 2846 slow beat but i think its got the escape valve its hidden behind there logo? and the back case is stamped with hv valve ect ect i see that they have also fantasy custom no crown guards modern subs too! SUPER WATCH THERE Chiman SUPER!!!

this is what sellers there do for there benefit to lower the insurance/parcel fees customs and carriers should know this

my friend speak with dhl dont worry i have bought once 20 watches from china they packed them all in one package i dident expect that but the watch faces were packed with bubblewrap they counted the watches they did not unwrapp the watches they wanted a payment reciept and an invoice from the site and then charged me 15% vat i think that your watches will be packed like this tell them they are not for resale they are family gifts dhl have a procedure to follow with regards to customs last year alone i bought over 60 watches some for friends family and some i sold on! goodluck let us know how you got on remember think positive!

but the customs have not said they have seized the watches? i have had this in more than one country just take an invoice and or payment slip go down there and speak to them when they open them just tell them i bought them on the internet as far as you know they are watches just watches cheap. i paid the taxes and took the watches they may only want you to pay some taxes dont forget that the customs dont know the value as there wont be an invoice in the package and they know that goods from china are always declared by the sender as a gift or low value, almost all packages go though customs are opened at recieving end when package arrive from outside europe, if you tell them you dident order them they will suspect something and think you are a counterfiet importer and distributor of fake watches. just tell them this is the first time to buy from the internet and you dont know the procedure. i hope you get your watches be calm! europe is one of the biggest importers from china! goodluck

im sure its different idlereplicas photos are the same as watcheden,s there photos arent always clear like trustys if trusty can get a brown dial with 2846 movement then that would be a great watch and the date mag is the biggest iv seen on a vintage rep except my thin cased gmt from trusty that has a superb date mag.

chi dont put yourself down! alligoat yes i agree i would prefer the 2846 lets hope that they do a brown dial in any case if i do get this sub i would have to change movement to a slow beat 2846 or an old 2783 like i have in my 5512 i cant get on with fast beat hacking on reps of vintage watches that dident have them! still its a good buy, the 198usd is also a good buy but thats plus shipping so not much difference except the 2846 is the best movement!

LOOK forward to your pics! you know whenever i find something that i think would be of interest to members i try to post it but i have had some negative feedback ok everyone can give there opinion but some members reply with (its crap, it doesent look like a gen ect,ect) ok its not a superfranken but its price i think is good and you have to take it for what it is a factory rep quality control is hit and miss so we know that we have to do the usual as you said cg,s crown issues loose parts ect but this is what our hobby is all about we dont have to start with a 800usd case and build costs around 3,000usd my 6538 cost me 2,500usd to build and im looking for cheaper builds for my other projects! good luck with you new purchase!

we make a lot of parts on lathes crystal retaining rings, bezel rings new acrylic crystals ect the problem is that these have to be made specialy for each watch there is no standard sizes many different factory cases, not all cases are made to gen specs/sizes, movements is a different matter (our subject here) these have to be purchased some prices are good some are not. im all for supporting members on RWG and helping whenever i can! thanks for the link i will check it out!

This is one of the best rep vintage subs iv seen! i have never seen a brown dial redsub up close the dial doesent have that shiny lummarkers that was on the last series and overdone yellow colour we used to get, the colour on this dial looks great to me! i would apprieciate any feedback taking into account that this is a factory replica priced around 158usd with shipping included!
