thanks for the reply - i bought it as a modded mbk 1680, but i took the bezel off and there isnt anything else there? it spins freely with no friction.. who in the EU apart from domi do you know? i emailed uwe but havent got any response!

Just picked up a nice Rolex 5512 from a fellow member, i need someone to help me out by reattaching an insert and pearl to the bezel, and possibly fixing the spring (it has no friction, just free spinning!!!)

get the racing - its pretty much spot on, just needs a datewheel change and silver screws for the display back.

the link has a solid caseback because its based on the older models. the newer ones have displaybacks

im about to embark on three separate projects - a red 1680, a 5512 and a great white 1665.

ive searched this forum and still am abit unsure as to what starting point i should go for.

i was planing to get all three watches and send them to PB to mod.

what would the best starting point be? a PT at $198? a cartel one at $118? or a MBW at £245/$388 ?

i realise it depends on my budget - but if the MBW at $388 is really 3 times as good as the cartel or twice as good as the PT at twice the price then ill have to opt for that.

bk modded it for me, but i believe he stopped offering the pearl mod

I dont have any experience of trustys or joshs, but I do have a bk with pearl mod.

It's absolutely stunning. I just can't take it off and I'm constantly staring at it. Plus bk is a top guy, his service is flawless!
