  1. 15300 Royal Oak white dial tonight for a elegant, classy French dinner. (What the heck is going on, why can't I attach any pictures?)
  2. And this is where I beg to differ.... (If we're talking about gen Pannies, then I agree, but if you're talking about a recent purchase of mine........)
  3. Delete his posts and ban him. Look at his recent posts on old RWG.
  4. Jury duty today called for something like this:
  5. We only sit in the jury section, obivously. But anyone can walk into the courtroom, if they are related or not related, and sit in the viewing benches, unless if the Judge issues an order to seal the courtroom. There were relatives of the murder victim there today, with a reporter who wrote an awful lot and there were law students watching too, who came in, and left after an hour or so.
  6. This watch makes the Patek Sky Moon Tourbillon look like [censored]. I would love to own it, if I win Friday's lottery. VC makes the best minute repeaters out there, I've heard a few of them chime, and they have the best chiming sound of the 20 or so AP, PP, BP, IWC, Breguet repeaters I've played with.
  7. Well, as far as I know, the prosecutor at her opening statements, said there is DNA evidence, videotapes and other hearsay evidence such as witnesses as evidence. We are told approximately 40 witnesses will be called by the prosecutor (Including pathologists, DNA experts, shoe experts and etc.), and 10 witnesses by the defense.
  8. All the defense did today was mutter all day long, even the judge and court recorder had to tell the defense lawyer to speak up. Meanwhile, all the jurors were half-asleep in the box, and one guy had his head down the whole time in boredom. Meanwhile the accused still stared at us as if he wanted to murder all of us. Not a good impression to the people who will decide if he goes to jail or not. And I was wearing the same GP Seahawk II today, and for everyday this week.
  9. Ok, so the defense finished after the full day. Tomorrow, we will begin to hear the prosecutor's witnesses.
  10. Unfortunately you won't consider dress watches, or I would have recommended a Patek 3919 Calatrava hands down. Timeless classic. But go with a plain black Sub for sure.
  11. The prosecutor still kept on blowing hot air today! Gosh it was so boring, and this is just opening arguments! We still have to wait for the defence's opening arguments tomorrow, the prosecutor finished at 3pm, the defence said they weren't ready yet, the judge got angry at the defence and dismissed us,to return at 9am tomorrow morning. This is going to be one long trial indeed.
  12. Ughhhhh...... The prosecutor was still on opening statements today. We had to leave at 2pm because one of the Crown attorneys was feeling sick.
  13. You're thinking about the Radiomir 8 days with the JLC movement. This is a reproduction with the Angelus 8 day movement.
  14. Amen to that for sure, after many bad confrontations I had with other Purists. The kind of people who would call me a cheapass for buying used rather than brand new from an AD with no discount.
  15. Ooooh dammnnnnn........ That watch is a freaking beast, what a beauty that Pink Gold Montoya is!!!!!! But it looks better on the Montoya strap pictured below:
  16. It is a Kevlar strap with a velcro enclosure.
  17. ROFL. Actually, it's a replica (oh the irony) of the Offshore Arnold Schwarzenegger wore in the movie the "End of Days". The watch is the End of Days Offshore Limited Edition.
  18. Damn, I would pick that beast up in a heartbeat at $16,500 a piece. In fact, get me a 100 of them if you can. These things are rare as hell now. They were like $16,500 list when they came out like 2-3 years ago, and these things are going for twice of list.
  19. In addition, I guess it can be considered an honour, seeing that I became a Canadian citizen not too long ago, and this is, after all, one of our civic duties. I guess I can finally feel like a true citizen now.
  20. My Rubberclad Offshore was the most complimented watch by females. Some could say it even was a chick magnet. But the UN Freak also attracts them too. They just like big, clunky watches for a reason.
  21. It's a fantastic rep, I used to hae it too, but sold it off. After seeing these pictures, I ordered it again from River. The flaws are the crown sticks out a bit too much, and the date font is incorrect, and the roman numerals are too large. But it's good quality.
  22. All I could do was stare at the judge's full gold/ diamond bezel President Rolex today, rather than my basic GP, which no one could tell from a Timex anyways. But of course as you said, I won't mention the case or the courthouse I am at during the day. But I will update you guys on how it's like to be a juror and what type of evidence is there.
  23. In this area, you can get anywhere from 10% to 20%.
  24. So, today was the first day of jury duty. Gosh, the accused with his murderous eyes staring at you throughout the whole session is actually quite unnerving since I'm sitting in the front row. But today wasn't too bad, the judge instructed us about our duty, what we are supposed to do and such. Then it was lunch, then opening arguments went on for a little bit from the prosecutor's side, which actually was kind of interesting. Then we adjourned at 4pm and told to return tomorrow at 10am. And oh yeah, I was wearing a lower-key watch today, a GP Seahawk II on Rubber strap.
  25. LOL, I know what feeling that is like. When one of my friends was finally called for he 16520 Daytona, he took me with him to the dealer during lunch to pick it up. What a rush when the box was opened! However, I much prefer when the watch is on my wrist out the door, LOL.
