  1. I drive a Smart car- and I made a 6 figure salary some time ago, end of story!
  2. I had a chance to see one of these newest RG BBs in Shenzhen today. The dial is sharper than the previous versions and the finish is still amazing. But that dealer asked me for 12000 RMB so I basically told her to go screw herself (no joke).
  3. My datewheel I need to complete my PAM has been missing for a very long time, and no response to communication either. At least it's only $100 in the pipeline.
  4. To me, the US dollar dropping has been pretty beneficial- I use a Canadian credit card and I've been paying probably 20-30% less for my replicas compared to a year ago, but selling my pre-owned pieces sucks because I have to base my prices in US dollars, and I really can't raise my prices because no one will buy them if they're too much US$. Anyways- $800 is way too much for this piece, considering it's only gold plated and will have a limited life, $600 or so was already too much for the ceramic HBB (which I ended up buying), but this is just madness.
  5. You've heard it all from me- the chrono hand falling off on a Patek 5960 I had for a short time ago, the incredibly expensive repair bill for a dropped Breguet... The only brand that hasn't really failed me as of yet is AP, having had so many pieces pass through my hands. The Ulysse Nardin Freak was also subject to a ton of problems with the movement, hearing from other owners, they had to stop production of the watch in order to free up the watchmakers in order to repair the pieces sent back to the factory!
  6. Dutchy, what were your final IB grades? I would be interested in seeing what they are. Congratulations on making it.
  7. I say to each man his own. If he likes Daytonas, and has the money, I say let him spend it on that. It's just like us, we choose to do whatever we like with our money. His Daytona collection is like an investment, I see some pretty damn rare pieces in that collection, and those are just going up in value. Personally, I've made quite a bit just flipping AP Offshores over the span of a year, the general market prices for genuine watches has risen quite a bit over the last year.
  8. I second that- but the cocky attitude from some of the stores need to change...
  9. I still have not received my datewheel for my PAM 029 after paying for it for over a year. Should I just give up?
  10. A dealer said this? For sure I'm getting this one, thank goodness I still haven't bought the SS Ceramic yet, after I've had a lot of moments of weaknesses.
  11. I thought it was worth it. The addition of the genuine AR coating, the solid buckle and the genuine looking movement made it worth it to me. Th attention to detail and finishing is excellent, comapred to the cheap one. The dat mag is not nearly as good, the AR coat is that ugly simulated coating, and the quality of the buckle is far apart from the ultimate. That being said, the jerky hand is a downside, but fortunately that is also a problem on the genuine. And to a poster above: They used the 7750 in this watch because it is the movement that the genuine uses. Actually, the genuine uses an ETA Valgranges movement, which is based off the 7750 anyways.
  12. I just got this watch, and it is an amazing watch in my opinion. The case, strap and clasp are all very high quality and feel like an expensive watch. The detail of the dial is just stunning, and the real AR really gives this watch character. But damn that seconds hand is jerky, and it almost looks like a quartz watch to me at times. The genuine is also jerky from what I hear from genuine owners, and seeing one in person myself. I'm told that it is due to huge surface of the seconds hand, and therefore it is more apparent than say, if the running seconds were at 9 on the 7750, but again, it's still too jerky to be ignored.
  13. Still no sign of my datewheel after I paid a very long time ago, and I can't contact Mark. Should I just give up hope that I've waited very long for this item, paid for it, and still will never get it?
  14. Argh! I paid King, and I get an e-mail back from her telling me there's no stock all of a sudden. Something strange is going on here...
  15. Oh wait, I'm not talking about actually applying to "American Law School", I'm just talking about American law schools in general. I'm looking to reapply for Harvard and the whole set again later this year while my LSAT score is still considerably fresh. It has been my dream to attend Harvard once in my lifetime, and I can't believe that given my profile that I'm still being rejected!!! By the way, I am a citizen of Canada right now, but was a British citizen when I applied back then.
  16. I don't know how I got 180 on the LSAT, I prepared a few weeks before the test and wrote it thinking I did horrible on it that Saturday morning. Not to mention, but I scored in the 99.99th percentile on the GMAT and I had gotten 1580 on the old SAT I, with perfect scores in Mathematics, Physics and History SAT IIs, and again I was rejected from every Ivy League school I applied for. I forgot that I also applied for Yale, probably because they were the first to send me a refusal of admission (Maybe 2 weeks after my LSAT score was reported). I am by no means from a rich family, and don't have a cent to donate to these schools (we would struggle just to pay the tuition!!!). I had the perfect profile of a successful applicant, perfect LSAT score, perfect undergraduate and graduate records along with solid references and leadership activities. That's what I detest about American schools, everything seems to be so prejudiced in my opinion. And no, I have a clean record too. Except when I was caught 2 years ago bringing a Rolex back from overseas, but that's another story.
  17. Did anyone here ever apply for law school in the United States? I'm curious, as I applied for American law schools 2 years ago, and got flat rejections from everything I applied for. I applied for: - Harvard - Columbia - Stanford - Cornell I wasn't directly rejected from Cornell, I was waitlisted and never heard back from them again. I don't understand how I was rejected, as I scored a perfect 180 on the LSAT, and had strong reference letters from my employer and research partner at the University of Toronto. In addition, according to the LSDAS I had a Cumulative GPA of 4.00. And yet all this still wasn't good enough, I'm still wondering to myself what may have went wrong. I'm thinking of sending in another application for the same law schools later this year, and if I'm admitted specifically to Harvard, to request a 2 year deferral. I want to use my LSAT score while it's still valid in the eyes of many law schools.
  18. You can't show "intelligence" or "maturity" because you clearly lack it in the first place. I clearly stated why I did not disclose the price in public if you actually bothered to read my post, instead of firing back another childish insult. If you're so anxious to find out then just e-mail King. I'm just doing you guys a service by actually telling any of you. But when you're such a huge jackass, I'm finding it hard to even stay on this forum when people like you crap all over the place. More than 30 people have sent me kind requests to tell them the price, but you're the only who has anything to [censored] about in the first place apparently. Being a rude jackass will get you nowhere in life. Good day to you.
  19. I'm sorry your majesty that I didn't kiss your ass. It's normally bad fashion to post prices that are by request only everywhere out on the boards. Go find out from King yourself now, and wait 24 hours. By the way, adding the word "[censored]" here and there doesn't really show intelligence (or maturity for that matter) there my man. (And no, using short forms like WTF and * symbols to mask the word doesn't count) auiawyeabdcasabncsacnjackasswioeuwqncjhcasipopsajs
  20. Guys, King has this watch available for sale officially. I've had her price it, and the price is very good, definitely in line with Asian 7750 reps ($30 premium or so). PM me to find out the price quickly. I've just ordered it. Guys, King has this watch available for sale officially. 21. Second generation didn't use the 7750...It used Asian 21J movement.
  22. What the people who are selling these watches fail to realize is that charging a higher price does not necessarily equate higher profits. Selling for $450 and $350 may still mean bigger profits for the latter, despite the $100 price difference. It's a simple price equilibrium along with supply and demand issue here. The theory states that demand has to increase as the price comes down. Let's say they can only sell 20 pieces at $450, with a cost of $250 each, averaged out over each piece (assuming that the marginal cost for each extra watch decreases with quantity i.e. #1 is $275, then #2 is $270, etc.). Therefore, their total profit is $4000. However, if they lower the price to $350, their average cost could be lowered to say, $240 a piece, and they sell 70 pieces, depending on the demand. That would equate to a profit of $7700. The dealers make more money and more people are happy. This is the best situation that anyone can hope for. Unfortunately, they haven't picked up on this concept yet as evidenced by the Big Bang. My analysis is only based on assumptions, as we have no idea how much business each dealers does nor can we predict how many sales each dealer makes.

Hell no, I'm an avid player too, I do puzzles everyday whenever I have time at my office, just like many of the other nerdy PhD students on the faculty. There hasn't been a single puzzle that has stumped me yet. (and I've solved many extremely challenging ones). I am a perfect balance of left and right brain according to many people, and I've done incredibly well on the SAT, GMAT and the LSAT. (Perfect 180 LSAT score and near perfect on SAT and GMAT)
  24. I noticed it. It's pretty sweet that this one has the LE engravings and the correct "Kevlar, Ceramic" engravings on the back. But wow the price tag sucks. I would get this, but get a black strap to replace the god awful yellow strap, but i like the yellow sides, and that's it.
  25. BS, I'm not paying with WU. Might as well order from King and use Paypal, and get a better price.
