You want the mo6497 from here: http://www.siswatch727.com/index.do
21,600 bpm is the high beat

Is that a gasket for the bezel or the crystal?
Do I need to order that part too?
Oh and do you NEED the OEM bezel to fit the gen Xtal on the EL Fiddy?
-
I too have faith and have ordered a couple 127s and a 212/253 xtal. Really hoping it happens and thanks for the info!
-
Any updates BC? Have these been made yet?

*UPDATED FILE*
I have updated your file with the new models from SIHH2011 and the Boutique editions.... I have formatted my additions in Black, feel free to change back. The Red highlighted models I do not have pictures for.

So, what are your thoughts compared to gen? Waffle still looks a little shallower compared to pics I've seen of the gen. Great job with the macros btw!
-
Great job with the vid! Thanks!
-
Congrats! Have a fabulous time.
I'll hit you up for a gen TG strap when you get back!
All the best.

Excellent pics and write up! I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on this one... Tell me is it just Toro selling with the deluxe case/box, or is that coming out of China ? Sure beats the polystyrene foam!
-
How the hell????????!!!!!!! OMG that is INCREDIBLE!!! Seriously how the hell did u score that? There's more to this story I'd love to hear!
-
Wow what an effort! Fingers crossed for u and another buyer here for a case when the time comes.
-
... sorry nothing here...
thought i saw one elsewhere for sale, but no.
-
a few have come up recently in sales threads on RG and WC. I just got a mattusss one through a 202a sale on WC. I have seen at least two in the past few weeks.
-
Some of the best photos i've seen! Superb build and superb photography.
All my parts are coming together for a similarly specc'd 202A (not as nice a strap though)and this thread is making me impatient!
Congrats!

Pity it's not 7753. We had such a good rep with the 236 it's a shame that this is not as good. Don't really like the movement either. Pass this time.

Yeah, the "problem" with DSN Fiddy is that it's one of the only two models (217 Destro is the second) he doesn't make, instead he sources the casesets and dials from the Cartel factories directly. His own casemaker doesn't produce 127/217 cases and dials. Not exactly sure why, it may be that the cost pricepoint wasn't high enough to justify the new 127/217 caseset R&D and production by his own maker.
As Pete and W have mentioned above (good memory re those 127 CB numbers Pete, BTW)...there were 3 different well finished Fiddy casebacks made in the past that I've come across in my hunt for that elusive Ultimate Fiddy build - 0117, 0581 and 0492. There may be one or two more, but I've never seen another one in the wild (well made decent one, that is), so please take this with a grain of salt.
The 0117 is everywhere, not much to talk about really. The 0492 is the least seen one, and although of slightly different finish than the other two (depth and width of the engraved text) peeps that have this one should consider themselves a bit 'luckier' than the rest of us 'mortals' .
The 0581 came for example on my 3rd Fiddy from Andrew in 2007, the one well known for exploding xtals and made by that 'other' rep company. The case set it came with was all over the place, incorrect dimensions and bad finish esecially around the areas where the lugs meet the case. But it had a very nice dial with crisp ivory color LP text and correct position of 1950 above 6 o'clock. I can confirm that 0581 CB fitted the standard EL one that came with 0117 CB, and vice-versa. They should be both interchangeable. I cannot confirm the 0492 though as I never owned one, as hard as I tried.
Hope this above makes some sense, if any. This is just my personal observation, so don't flame me...please.
cheers,
D
That is some awesome info right there Babola!
i too am looking for a 581 CB for a franken EL fiddy project. Good to know the 492 won't fit. Thanks for your informative post!

he he aren't we all! I have heard that Jakob has a template pattern for the fiddy, but has no source yet for blank 47mm sapphire casebacks. And fiddy guru seems to think that sourcing the blanks will be extremely difficult.

Remarkable...and I'm also from Chicago.
Oh, sorry about your watch, I'm sure your dealer will straighten it out.
I thought the OP was you! wow.
Sorry about the watch OP. Let us know how the replacement goes.

Cannot believe how close they are! Thanks for the review! Chrissy present for Dad incoming!

Non alarm Angelus movements have sold well in excess of 5k on ebay, there is underlying value in that. the rest of the watch is totally custom handmade by VDB and there is nothing that comes close to the accuracy and quality of his builds. Whether that is worth it is up to the purchaser.
I for one think the watch is awesome, but will hold on to my hard earned and would think that 7k would rather see a nice gen (if i had nothing better to spend on) personally.
-
I always thought my first (eventual) gen pam was going to be a 312... but that 305 just may have swayed me! Sensational!

Hey did you get these pics off NW's site? I think you actually downloaded the build pics of my actual watch! It's a beauty for sure... notice the dent at 1:30 and also at the plexi at 8:00.
You'll love your when it arrives!

Very very nice..
Looks like they have accurately repped the crown to with the part polished part matte finish. And finally a rad without a humungous crown tube! Yay!
