  1. Isn't the authorized asia eta the best? I searched for them, I found 3. 1. Authorized manufacutred ETA (then... there are ones that are given to rep makers... or shipped to Switzerland to be polished? or somnething like that) 2. Chinese GZ or something.. copy 3. Seagull. I wasn't even sure tbh if i even got a ETA. But I compared the amount of ticks to a gen Omega seamaster pro, it has the same amount of ticks. Although the rep Rolex had louder ticks. I hope Andrew gave me either Seagull (Since you said they are good), or the ETA one. God forbid the clones...
  2. Thanks Cats (and aeromatic) (that's what I was fearing for; cloned ETA movements but at least it rules out the Asia 21J) I got this from Andrew, I heard he was a reputable dealer, so I hope he kept his word. I think I need to take this to a watch repair center. Do you recommend me doing that or is there a member here that provides the same service? I don't have a case opening tool I'm afraid. :-( I'll take pics of the movement and have it calibrated.
  3. hey guys... I just got my Explorer I from trustywatchguy in the mail. Everything looks good but oddly the rolex hologram sticker isn't present... or to be seen anywhere. Anyway... I'm wondering if there is a way to check if the watch is a 21J asia or ETA... I ordered the "swiss" eta, version... Oh, I mean check without opening... I'm a complete noob at this... but I compared the tick sounds with a gen Omega seamaster pro 300m, and the speed of the ticks matches the rep Explorer I. Does this mean it's 28,800 bph? aka ETA? I heard Asia 21J has a lower bph. thanks
  4. Oh... and the hologram sticker for some reason isn't present on the watch... e-mailed andrew about that. i seriously hope mine isn't a seagull or other crap movement.
  5. Hey guys. I got my Explorer I rep from trustywatchguy.com (Andrew) Here are the pics It looks very accurate. I heard these are the most accurate replicas (OOB) you can get. I got the Swiss ETA Version... However, the second hand seems to be little big... jerky I thought it would be smoother.. Would it be possible that I've gotten a 21J instead of the ETA? Oh... and the second hand is like 5 seconds out of sync after 2 hours or so... is there a fix for that?
  6. Thanks for your response. If I'm buying a next rep at all (First I gotta see this one ;-), It'll be the Omega SMP 300m. It'll probably have to be in Swiss ETA, because I had bad experiences anything with Chinese "Clones" (Not only in watches, but other things too). Oh, and is it true how the Explorer I is the best (or one of the best) accuarte/best replicas out there?
  7. Hello! I purchased my first rep yesterday from Andrew. I ordered the Rolex Explorer I with Swiss ETA. I was going to order the Omega Seamaster Professional, but the Swiss-ETA was too expensive for me... and since I ordered it from Andrew and not Joshua (Which I just noticed), I didn't see the $50 value subtraction if I had chose Asia ETA movement... Kind of a bummer, I really wanted the Omega Seamaster Pro blue. But nevertheless, I heard the Rolex Explorer I is one of the best/accurate replicas... and I also looked around the forum and some sites for comparison between Swiss ETA and 21J... I've heard some bad things about the Asia clone ETAs, but not on Swiss ETAs, and as for 21Js, generally it works great for people. Also for Swiss ETAs, I e-mailed Andrew and he said that Swiss ETA Movement is far much better. (Well I only believe half of what he's saying... since he's the seller... but I paid and bought it already, I guess there is no reason for him to lie to me, except for my future purchases to be in the expensive S-ETA movements). But he said it's a Swiss brand but factories are based in Asia... Ca anyone elaborate more? Because I have asked him if what he basically means is parts are manufactured in china but assembeld in Swiss, and he replied with "something like that"... lol Can anyone give me some thoughts, any links for reviews (I haven't seen a lot, only one) for Explorer I rep? What do YOU think? I want to hear your opinion... and I also want to hear your opinion about Swiss ETAs, Asia ETas and 21Js if you got the time :-) I've seen the facts..I just want some opinions from people who have experience. Since I might purchase the Omega Seamaster with Asia ETA (or maybe Swiss ETA if I got the money). Oh... I paid $243 shipped. EMS Shipping. But I'm assuming you guys know all of that since (at least I think) Andrew and Josh (Im saying because to me, they look like they have the same prices) are fairly popular around here and well respected.
