  1. Concerning the Todor submariner 94xx series.

The movments in these submariners are from the ETA 27xx series.

Tudor submariner 9401 (No Date) featured ETA Cal 2776, with hacking machanism.

Tudor submariner 9411 featured the 25 jewel version ETA Cal. 2784 f. 28800 A/h (non hacking), not ETA 2874.

    Cheers,

  2. can you give me the size for screw that hold the movement in case?

    thanks

    Hi!

I do'nt remember the tap-size on the screw but here is a link to cousinsUK who have them in stock.

    http://www.cousinsuk.com/searchresults.aspx?searchtext=val77305101

5101 is the part number for the case screw

When looking for parts for the val 7734 you sometimes must search for parts for the base caliber wich is the 7730.

Hope this info is usefull/Cheers Milgauss

  3. I just got my hands on this old timing machine it’s the ELMA multiscript but unfortunately it came without the manual.

I have been searching for info regarding this machine to no avail. Lots of info on other machines though, like the vibrograf B200 among others.

So now I’m hoping to tap into the collective wisdom on RWG.

First of all I’m trying to figure out what all the buttons on the machine and the microphone does. I believe this machine

is able to test mechanical watches but also tuning fork and quartzes aswell.

I am only really interested in the functions related to mechanical movements but with all the buttons want to be sure I have

set it up correctly. I have tested it with the movement in the case and mounted directly on the microphone and the machine starts

ticking away like it should, but when I listen in with the headphones the ticking is rather weak with a lot of static.

    Regarding the machine itself:

I know how to set the beat rate and adjust the volume but I have no idea what the other buttons do.

The microphone “QM 200” looks really complicated with lots of buttons. Feel free to chime in with your theories.

    Thanks for looking/Milgauss

  4. Congratulations Theo!!

How many wise-interesting-swedes are we here on RWG-forum?

Maybe its about time we make a Swede Casserole!

    Here is the recipe.

1 Simmer swedes in lightly salted water (in covered pan) for about 20 minutes or until tender.

Drain and mash or press through a sieve with a wooden spoon.

2 Add the flour and half the butter, stirring all the time,

then slowly beat in the cream until the mixture is light and fluffy.

3 Season to taste with salt, pepper, nutmeg and sugar.

4 Add the egg and pour the mixture into a well buttered oven proof dish.

Sprinkle the breadcrumbs on to, dot with reamaining butter and

bake in oven at 180c for about an hour, until the top is lightly browned.

    Smaklig måltid!

  5. I have been lurking the forum for quite a while now, since march last year infact.

So first I would like to thank everybody for all the knowledge You have shared during

this time. And I hope I will be able to contribute a bit myself in future.

My main interest is vintage watches and watch making, not replicas per se,

even though I own a couple. But I have found that the members level

of knowledge in watch makingis far superior here than on many of the forums

    for genuine watches.

I have as a rule not to buy a watch that is so valuable I don’t dare to

    service or restore it myself.

Unfortunately there are quite a few watches that I like that go far beyond

this limit and that’s where the replicas come in.

    Reps I own are:

    Rolex 5517 from trevor

    Glashutte senator sixties also trevor.

    Rolex Daytona from DW.

I have also built a Tudor snowflake 9401 with case from Yuki and a ETA 2776, and my project now is a Tudor 7032 from David.

I will post some pictures as soon as I got five posts under my belt (1 more to go I believe)

    Cheers/Milgauss

  6. i managed to win a vintage watch off ebay with a 7734, but it has a 30 minute counter - what stuff do i need to convert it to a 45 minute one?

You will need to get the following parts. 8120 "sliding gear mounted 45 min". which is the same part for both 7733 and 7734.

You will also need part 8040 "Minute-recording runner, mounted 45 min". specific to the 7734.

There is also the mysterious part 8000/3 "Chronograph runner, mounted 45 min". but i think LHOOQ did the conversion using the 30 min part 8000.

    Hope this helps

    Cheers
