Door bell rang and my skyland V2 has finally landed. Got the Skyland Avenger V2, SS grey dial after seeing the obscene photos posted by guys here like Deniz, HIke etc. So humbly, i present my not too obscene photos.. First a head shot Beautiful Rep Pro 2 bracelet, nice details, crisp engravings Caseback engravings Pushers and crown Lastly, a wristy For closeups of lume dots, see 2 posts above. Didn't do any review cos the one in sticky is excellent already. Waiting for my Pro diver strap to arrive now...

Just throwing this up for a discussion. Can a dealer actually provide you a tracking number and tell you later that he has not sent the item out? If so, how did he even get and send you the tracking number in the first place? Doesn't a tracking number means that its already with the courier or post office and tracking has already been paid for?

Finally had a chance to compare this rep to a Z series Gen. I have to say the most distinct flaw is the cyclops mag which is i would say almost totally way off. In a way, the rep has much larger mag which some may argue may be better. Other less visible flaws other than the misaligned rehaut engraving are the engravings on the crown, which are not as crisp as the gen and somehow, just somehow, the feel of the bracelet is different. My friend did a blind test and was able to feel which watch was gen (his) without putting it on his wrist! Is there some magic in the gen bracelet? Otherwise, the ceramic bezel as well as the clicking is almost close to gen, dial is well made as well. If only there was some way to change to a gen crown and more importantly, put in a crystal with the exact mag or even pop in a gen crystal. Sigh...

What a beauty... i'm still waiting for mine with hopefully less than perfect lume dots (which is >>> than badly applied) on a SS bracelet.. The weight is perfect. Also a dark/smoke grey leather belt to complete the look.

Yeah, the 8 looks tempting, though the foot print is pretty large, maybe you could mount it vertically to save space... Hey mike, if you dun need all 8, we could split 4-4.. k now everyone else will think i'm looney

Seriously... the color of your watch winder shouldn't matter so much, as long as its not lime green or funky purple... As long as it fits into ur decor.. heck, even if it stands out, that's not too bad a thing either. What matters are the beauties inside

Then my personal opinion... the Skyland looks perfect size, just nice for your wrist.. the lugs are almost at your wrists. Will the extra 3 mm just push the lugs to jut out? Why dun you pop into an AD and try it out first

Thanks FxrAndy, i read on i think Toad's newbie guide never to shake but to rotate it to simulate the natural rotor motion. Well before i send back this watch, anyone for a beautiful U1 that still keeps time but has character? J/k.. Oh whitesox, if you're reading this, the strap has arrived today and it is beautiful like described. But now i have no watch to wear with it .. sigh. Gonna find me 1 of those 4 leaf clovers off ebay.

Haha... yes you are right Max! That's a good way to look at it, saves me a trip to PO and postage fees... Now i only hope my dealer accepts responsibility and lets me send both back... First out of box winding, about 15-20 times clockwise as advised on the dealer's website. Then subsequently it just runs on my wrist. I dun shake the watch, is there something wrong?

Sigh... dun think my dealer is going to be too impressed with me, i just finished packing and wrapping the other one to be sent back and now i gotta get a bigger box to fit both... Think i'll ask for the swiss ETA since this asian one has such dormant problems as someone mentioned.

After 2 or 3 minutes of looking at my watch upside down and getting a sore neck, i have to say i think the movement becomes smoother, either that its my eyes playing tricks... My wife just shook her head in a tsk tsk fashion and told me to get a gen! Snore.... Any simple solutions or is opening the watch to check the movement and gears the best solution now?
