I assume you mean the crown (as there is no pusher). The position of the crown is in fact the same as the gen, as a trip to the manufacturers website will show you. The differences of my V1 U2 rep to the real deal are 1.) Datefont - less bold (like 99% of all reps - can be corrected) 2.) Color of all red markings and the second hand/GMT hand is a bit darker than on the gen (can't be corrected) 3.) No Ar Dehumidifying capsule (below the 6 marker - can't be corrected but can be faked) 4.) Slight difference between rep and gen bezel printing (gen bezel fits rep so can be corrected) 5.) The rep rubber strap is a dust collecting pos (gen strap or other aftermarket strap fit, so can be corrected) Non visible differences: 1.) Gen: case made from German submarine steel / rep: no submarines hurt in the building process. 2.) Rep coating is only PVD / gen is tegimented PVD so it will last much longer 3.) Pressure Resistance: Gen = 2000m / Rep = mine has been tested to 50m 4.) Anti Magnetic: Gen = yes / Rep = no 5.) Temperature Resistance Technology: Gen = yes / Rep = no 6.) Low Pressure Resistance: Gen = yes / Rep = no 7.) Movement: Gen ETA2893-2 (Swiss) / Rep ETA2836-2 (Asia clone) This is a pretty good visible replication of the real watch, of course lacking all of the goodies "under the hood". Then again, it also lacks 90% of the gen's price. For me, it's among the definite keepers.

looking 4 Rep friendly watchmaker in NY area
chubbchubb replied to chubbchubb's topic in General Discussion
@JKay... thanks for the suggestion. I haven't been on RWI for a loooong time. At the end of the day, CONUS is of course an option. I just thought that there might also be someone in the NY/NJ area. Any trusted watch tech in NY/NJ? -
I need some help from NY members. A year ago, I bought a PAM111 for a friend of mine who lives in the NY area. That watch is now up for a service. My friend is not a member here and I live on the other side of the world. Can someone recommend anyone in the NY/NJ area? Thanks in advance.

I haven't gone through all five pages of this so my remarks might have been answered already: my animated avatar (*.gif) is gone and it seems I can't use gif for it anymore. my Platinum status evaporated the rwg registration date under member has gone like every change/update I've seen over the years, this will take some getting used to.

Ola, I'm trying to revive an old Tag Chrono that has lost it's crown. The TAG crowns can be ordered but could someone who has this watch please do me a favor an measure diameter and thickness of the crown so that I can order the right one? I've stolen a picture of the model in question from Josh's site (sorry mate). Thanks in advance for your help.

I need to replace a cracked crystal on a friend's Breitling Montbrilliant Datora. Does anybody have the exact dimensions of the crystal by any chance? My digital caliper measures 39.90mm inside the lip of the gasket where the crystal sits. I cannot measure the exact thickness as the original is not available - judging by the hight of the lip, it could be 1.1mm. Can someone confirm or correct this by any chance? Also, is the crystal flat or domed? Thanks in advance for your help. PS: at this point, please no "..contact your dealer and ask if he can source the part" suggestions.
